Ah, John.

This might just be my favorite John Watson moment in the whole show:

Didn't know that's what it's called.  :P  But I like it anyhow!

Can't place it other than it's Series 1 or 2 (and I'm guessing the latter) -- what episode?

Pink, when he meets Mycroft for the first time.

Oooo, that's a classic.

I love the b/w versions of Sherlock photos. They're so moody.

Noir Sherlock. It could work!

They did black-and-white on Monk once, when the plot was sorta 30's-ish.

Maybe it'd had worked for TAB?  Or maybe not -- 1895 wasn't exactly the black-and-white golden age.

They could have had a noir episode with Mary, though.  That might have worked really well -- though it probably wouldn't have been Sherlock exactly.

I think it'd have to be another mind palace kind of thing. Or a spoof. A spoof of Sherlock with this cast ... that is something I'd pay to see! :D

Hmm, yeah, they could do a takeoff on the old Rathbone & Bruce movies.  (Don't think Martin Freeman would be too happy about that, though!)

They could make Watson the smart one and Holmes the dummy, I think both actors would enjoy that. I know I would. ;)

Yeah, the show is fanfiction anyway, they could go for some more crazy stuff.

Now, thinking about it… what about a Jonlockey version as Film Noir? (did I really wrote this? :o )

Or another MP episode as a silent movie in style of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (Mark would love it!)

1. You meant Saturation?

Doesm't Hue just change it into different shade of colors? :p

(I'm just too bored right here and the caffeine starts to kick)

2. Insider report: quite crunchy. :D

3. Have I mentioned 200 times that I like his back and brow?

OHH I HAVE NOT???

That's one of those moments that make me cringe a bit, because I always get the feeling he's not quite joking.

I know. It can be hard to tell, sometimes. But in this case it got the huge laugh he was going for, including from Colbert, so it was alright. And Colbert got him back in fine style. Did you see the show? They had a good rapport.

I think I might have seen part of it on the Youtubes. It's good that on that occasion he actually was joking then.

Yeah, in context it was pretty funny. But I do know exactly what you mean.

What was it about?
