I'm afraid I didn't care much for the Hobbit parody (too loud, only one joke), but the LOTR one was rather brilliant. Not funny, but amazing.

Of *course* I noticed the shots from The Office. Instantly. Y'know how? By the hair. That's why I still say they're making a big mistake, portraying John as a Martin Freeman wannabe. He doesn't look like John any more.

Yes, you have the impression they use original footage.

But the other thing- is it a music video of someone I should know? Was the text altered from the original song?
