I love the snow! Great idea! :)

Lots of websites do it, I first saw the idea on another forum and... borrowed it for here. :D

At first, I thought, oh, Alice is indulging her unique brand of humor again. (Though usually I get it.... )

Then I started to worry that I was the only one who was not experiencing the same mass hallucination.

And finally I found y'all over here on the Deviant skin!!! :D Yeah, cool!!!

Love the snow, and the hats are just the icing on the cake. I don't appear to have anything specifically Christmassy, just present and party stuff

Now it's snowing on the IP.Board skin, too. Odd, don't recall seeing snow in the forecast for down here -- just for up in the mountains! :wave3:

I'm surprised my poor clunker hp is able to handle the snowfall. On the, ahem, other forum, I always had a hard time with it. But this forum is just fine. Cookies? :cookie:

love the snow.

I'm not one for christmas, bit too fluffy, bright and commercial for me, but not-christmas weekend at Aelys rocked,

I'd ask for Egg Nog, but my throats fragged

Merry Christmas, Mycroft. Merry Christmas, Molly Hooper. And everyone else. Especially the Sherlock Forum. Thank you for the...lovely e-card. Yes, I know I'm a day late, but deal with it. I was busy. Better late than never, isn't that a common phrase? :xmas: I do have a sort of card for those of you that might want one...It's apparently too large to send here, so you MIGHT have to e-mail me. <_<

But nevertheless... :xmas2: Brilliant. Meretricious. And a Happy New Year.

Oh, and sorry about your throat, EvigMidnat. I know a doctor who could look into that for you. Dr. John Hamish Watson. :watson: He's the best doctor there is. And I will argue that until...the end of time and space. But whatever you do, DON'T tell him I recommended him or mentioned him or sent you to him. DO NOT mention me AT ALL, in fact. And I'll only have the cookies if Mrs. Hudson's made them. :cookie: Not sure about the eggnog... :drink: Might have had a bit too much as it were...

And a belated Merry Christmas to you, CSI. I will keep your recommendation in mind for the next time I need a doctor (though I promise to forget where I heard it!). Do you happen to have his phone number handy?

This seems as good a place as any to comment on a current phenomenon, that of decorating one's lawn with large deflated plastic Santas, snowmen, and such. I will admit that one does occasionally see such figures standing fully inflated, but the great majority of the time, aside from their bright colors, they resemble the melted witch from The Wizard of Oz.

For several years I assumed that the recumbent individuals had sprung a leak, perhaps having been pounced upon by a playful feline. Recently, however, I was informed that they always leak, and require a constant transfusion of air via a small electric pump. Apparently it is considered normal to operate said pump only in the evening, when one's holiday lights are lit -- thus leaving those sad plastic puddles lying on the lawn all during the daylight hours, precisely when they are the most visible.

Am I the weird one here?

No, no you aren't. I, of all people, have been DRINKING. And I actually do have the number handy...I don't know if he's changed it though. He might have and I don't know what his current number is, sorry. He does have a blog, you know, but his last post was in June...so...I don't quite know...I'll see if the number's changed...

Christmas was nice - went to my mums in Cumbria. Watched Doctor Who on Boxing Day and then came home.

New Year will be a non-event as I am working night shifts. You can't have both Christmas and New Year off in the NHS (though you can be working both, as I was last year) and I was lucky to have Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day off.

I was rewatching aSiP the other day, and realized that some phone numbers were actually shown. When John is ringing the cabbie, this number is on his (the cabbie's) phone: 07517890531. I actually texted the number, I didn't get a reply (but was I really expecting one?) but it seems like the number is real!!! Also apparently this is Jeff's number (from when Sherlock gets the text): +447955905099.

When we were watching the crew prepare North Gower Street for filming in May, they scraped Speedy's actual phone number off the window and then put on a fake one.  (I'm guessing they did that in order to avoid nuisance calls.)  So they must have a list of numbers that they're allowed to use -- but interesting that they at least appear to be working numbers!

I wonder whether the same is true of those stupid "555" phone numbers that they use on American TV.  I've never tried.

Is it December again already?  Nice snow, Tim, just don't get carried away -- I already had to shovel the walks three times this week!

It's beautiful outside right now. Gloomy but the snow on the trees and the chickadees and the bright red male cardinals are making it nice and cheery.

This is nice, Tim! Love the fact that it is stiff and prim and proper Mycroft wearing the santa hat. Nice touch!

We have no snow yet :(. Normally in the UK we get it in January/early February, I remember complaining last year that it was Christmas and there wasn't snow :D.

We don't usually get this much snow this early (though the weather in Indiana is notoriously variable).  It's always seemed odd to me that songs like "Winter Wonderland" and "Jingle Bells" disappear by January.

No snow here either. Just fog... It's a bit depressing. I feel like I'm in London  :)
