Oops!  The flurries seem to have moved on through.  All clear on the IP.Board now.

I guess January 9th (yesterday) was just about the end of the Christmas season, wasn't it?  (In fact, the traditional 12 days end with January 6th -- AKA Old Christmas, AKA Epiphany, AKA Sherlock Holmes's birthday)  *sigh*  Farewell to the forum snow for another year!  (Now all we have to do is get through a couple more months of the real stuff.)

Don't remind me - Christmas was green and warm round here, as usual, but come January it was time to go a-shovelin' again -_-. Forum snow is so much easier to handle .

What real stuff? Nothing but rain here. So tired of it. Rather have snow........

You can come around Carol's or my place with a shovel anytime you're yearning for the real experience .

Send me the plane ticket and I'll be there! I know, I'm weird, but I actually enjoy shoveling snow... well, for awhile. Er, ahem, how much do you have? :p

These days, rarely more than a foot or so. Topped out at four inches only this week, and right now it's melted anyway (but of course, only after sticking around for a couple days). Here are some webcam links (most are of the inner city, but the Hohe-Wand-Wiese is fairly close to our suburb) so you can find a suitable time for traveling when there's snow, but not *too* much snow .

Posted

Won't be today, then, for I still see NO snow. :(

Posted

Yeah, mostly melted away for now (we still have a couple patches in the shadowy areas of the garden, but that's all there is). However, more is predicted to fall come Friday, so it won't be green long.

Is this a normal winter for you? It's warmer than usual in many parts of the USofA because of the El Nino effect out in the Pacific. I wonder how it's affecting the rest of the globe.

Posted

Definitely warmer than normal this year, which seems part of an ongoing trend. Or it's me getting old ("In my youth, we had snow so high we could barely open the door!" :P).

Come to MN, it's a bit cold because of a polar vortex.  WE have snow but no shoveling needed at the moment.  If you're lucky the windchill will be around 0F or a little below it.  I wish there was a snow all year theme as part of the deviant 3.

If you're very nice to Tim, he might set up a new theme called "Deviant 3 (Snow)."  ;)

That would be cool. If you're up to it Tim, I wouldn't mind having such a theme.

Hi Tim, would you like a cookie? Er, biscuit?

The •snow• kept distracting me for the whole of the holiday season; and a shadowy teddy bear is responsible for it? Lightsabers at dawn! This is much more serious than mere curls!

Nothing is more serious than The Curls... :P

Has there been a wig discussion yet in the TAB thread?

A mention, yes, not a discussion though.

Be careful what you wish for!!!  :D   (Enjoy!)

I plan to enjoy the heck out of it! A weekend blizzard, what could be more perfect? And my new camera just arrived, so there will be plenty of pix........

There is, however, a distinct possibility I will lose power, so don't be surprised if you don't hear from me for a couple days.

We'll forgive you for deserting us if you'll post pictures when you're back!  ;)

The Queen is not amused...

OMG is this Mycroft???

Is it really snowing in your area? Here it rains a bit and it's colder than a couple of days ago, but no snow....

It was really snowing yesterday morning. It didn't stay though.

And yes, it's Mycroft (I'm glad he is recognizable). Or should I say: Myfelt? Or Feltcroft?
