Sherlock. He can scare off the monster with his deductions and then he shall be mine! At least until a peed off, gun-toting John Watson comes knocking at my door.

And that's when your trouble really starts.

"Give him back."

"Okay, okay! God, touchy."

Hm, yeah, he's making us question his priorities....

He might have been perfecting the hair for a few hours before he realised Sherlock was gone. Slowly dawns on him the flat is a bit too quiet. Vaguely remembers Sherlock yelling something about monsters. Activates the GPS on Sherlock's phone and comes looking. I realise now that not getting rid of Sherlock's phone was the fatal flaw in my kidnapping plan.

Maybe he's getting ready for work (just finished the hair) and realizes that Sherlock is gone, hurriedly finds his gun, and races out of 221B without even thinking of grabbing his coat. Otherwise he just got home, hung his coat said the cursory hello, went up the stairs to his room, realized that the flat was Sherlock-less, grabbed his gun and (repeat tail end of above). Either way it doesn't look good for you pseud. Maybe plead insanity or something to help your case.

Poor Pseud. Where should we send the flowers?

It's okay, I escaped. I threw Sherlock at him and ran.

Isn't MF left-handed?  (So is Amanda.)

This probably looked better for the shot.

Three Continents is much better with a handgun than a keyboard.  John's blog posts must take about 2 days apiece to write at the speed he hunt-n-pecks.  Doctors really should learn how to keyboard because of their terrible penmanship.

They keyboard skills are apparently as poor as their writing.

Remember that when Dr Watson types, his hunt and peck method apparently is a series of keyboard shortcuts for whole words and phrases.

I don’t see how they can be that bad at typing, not the younger generations anyway. All the stuff you have to type just to get through uni would force you to speed up.

Yes, MF is left handed, but from what I remember he shoots right handed as John too.

I went for my first hike of the year today. Ohhh, the pain. Foot pain. Hip pain. Owchie owch owch.

Posted

Geez, how far did you hike? You're supposed to start easy, y'know.....

Posted

Twelve miles. The last few miles was sheer bloody mindedness not to catch more than one bus to get home.

Jumpin' Jes .... no wonder you hurt! Wasn't it cold?

Weird weather today, bit of everything. Sleet, wind, sunshine - so cold when sleeting, hot when sunny. Not hot if standing still but I tend to walk fairly swiftly.

You nut.

She just fits in perfectly with the rest of us. Last summer I walked 7 miles in new hiking shoes the first time I wore them. They hadn't been broken in yet. That happened about 2-3 weeks later and a 2nd long walk.

I was watching a YouTube vid yesterday and was reminded that at the top of TGG when Sherlock first shoots the wall from the chair, he fires left-handed . . obviously for the additional challenge of the shot, since Ben is right-handed.  Then he switches to right for the fancy behind-the-back business.  So they all are ambidextrous as required by the DP, apparently.

Yeah, I want me one-uh them keyboards!  Though come to think of it, maybe it's just auto-complete?  (And I hate auto-complete.)

Right, John always shoots right-handed.  Somebody pointed out (a while back) that soldiers are taught to shoot right-handed, regardless of their own dominant hand, because all military pistols eject their cartridges to the right -- meaning that if you shoot left-handed, the smoking-hot cartridge will be ejected into your face.  (That's presumably true of all guns, but don't quote me.)

But where is that scene from?  Is it even from Sherlock?  Am I losing my mind?  (Please don't answer that last question.)

Posted

That scene is from Start-up so not Sherlock.
