  1. My one fix to His Last Vow is Sherlock takes John's gun and shoots the real source of his problems - Steven Moffat!
  2. Speaking of continuity errors in The Sign of Three, how about Major Sholto's left hand in his last scene in his room magically being healed after all those years!
  3. Here's an interesting interview with Simon Pegg and Alice Eve and they have some interesting things to say about Benedict Cumberbatch, although I suppose it's nothing worse than what Steven Moffat has said about him if he was at a real crime scene or for not being at the 2014 Emmy Awards Presentation.
  4. It's not clear what John's intentions were in that scene and being somewhat inebriated doesn't help.
  5. Here's the Radio Times version of BC's comments: http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2014-07-25/benedict-cumberbatch-i-know-the-solution-to-sherlocks-moriarty-mystery--its-very-good
  6. That is an error. The only Sherlock production that is likely to air in late 2015 is the holiday special that is being filmed in January-February.
  7. Here's the Radio Times link: http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2014-07-21/benedict-cumberbatch-is-getting-a-waxwork-at-madame-tussauds
  8. According to Cumberbatchweb, Sherlock series 4 is filming in "late 2015", so that looks like November-December.
  9. My hope is that they will start filming the three Series 4 episodes in Spring 2015 and keep filming until Benedict Cumberbatch needs to rehearse for Hamlet in July. Then May-June is looking good for our next UK trip, which will probably last about one month, since I will move up to 5 weeks of vacation next year.
  10. Based on the Series 3 filming schedule, it took them about 3 months to film three episodes, so about a month of filming per episode.
  11. Here's a link to the Radio Times article about the 2014 Emmy nominations: http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2014-07-10/benedict-cumberbatch-and-martin-freeman-go-head-to-head-as-brits-dominate-emmys-nominations
  12. I hope that this at least means that the Series 4 DVD set will include the 3 episodes plus the Christmas Special. It was disappointing that they didn't include Many Happy Returns in the Series 3 DVDs. Also since I don't think that January is a great time to visit the UK, Carol and I will probably try to schedule our next trip there sometime during when the three official Series 4 episodes are being filmed (hopefully summer).
  13. According to what I read in the Setlock Twitter feed, it was for a show called "Lewis".
  14. There is an interesting article in Radio Times about Martin Freeman's being cast for the role of Lester without an audition or seeing if he could do the Minnesota accent: http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2014-06-23/martin-freeman-on-joining-fargo-it-could-have-all-gone-very-very-bad
  15. Here's a Radio Times article based on that blog post: http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2014-06-17/sherlocks-make-up-secrets-benedict-cumberbatchs-green-hair-and-andrew-scotts-guy-liner
  16. I used to play the American Clue a lot when I was a teenager, at least until my siblings refused to play it with me anymore because I figured out how to win virtually every time by observing and taking note of what combination of cards my siblings called for when they went to a particular room (my siblings would usually call out for one card they didn't have and two cards they already held, which made it possible to eventually figure out what they likely had, and that made it a lot faster and easier to figure out what cards no one had for the actual murderer, weapon, and room). My siblings accused me of cheating, but I saw nothing in the rules that prevented one from using that strategy.
  17. We can follow #setlock on Twitter to find out if anything happens.
  18. According to Moffat, the BBC did not originally like Benedict Cumberbatch for the Sherlock role because they felt he wasn't sexy enough : http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2014-05-27/steven-moffat-the-bbc-thought-benedict-cumberbatch-and-david-tennant-werent-sexy-enough
  19. I also like Mary, but I don't like what Moftiss did with her in His Last Vow. It seems to me they were combining shock value with making Mary play the role of Sebastian Moran. I was about as impressed with that as I was with .
  20. In 2013 for Series 3, I think we knew they would be filming about 3 months in advance (which is pretty good advance notice for getting good airfares). We also knew that Martin Freeman had to go back to New Zealand for more Hobbit filming in late May. We scheduled our three week trip so that we would leave London to return to the USA on May 22, which turned out to be one day after they did exterior filming at North Gower Street for The Sign of Three and exterior scenes they previously didn't have time to finish (I believe a car that parked in front of Speedy's had to be towed on the day of the March filming, which delayed their filming that day) for The Empty Hearse. So we got breakfast and had our luggage put into storage at our London hotel on the morning of the 21st, walked over to North Gower Street and witnessed the filming, then picked up our luggage and took the tube to go to our Heathrow area hotel after filming was completed. It was an exciting and memorable last day in the UK for us! If you haven't seen this video link posted by Carol in the Series 3 North Gower Street filming thread, here's a link to a fan video of the filming that day: https://www.youtube.com/watch?list=UUFVRMQwqk-B7yVJMDR6pq4g&v=ORWSrG3LisY#t=11 . We are planning to return to the UK to try and witness Series 4 filming after they announce when they will be doing that and Carol said that some other forum members are also going to try to be there.
