  1. I always wondered why he would want a view to the kitchen.
  2. Looks like the cut of the suit to me.
  3. I'm stumped. YMMV?
  4. Turns out the video itself was on mute for some reason. Thanks.
  5. Couldn't get any audio out of that.
  6. Just want to say thanks everybody for all the posts and links. Don't know where I'd be without you all!
  7. All I get is a Tumblr page wanting me to sign up / log on. Never had that happen before. Me too.
  8. It's during the assortment of very brief clips with the voiceover "You say you know what he's going to do next," at roughly the word "do." I didn't notice him till I was clicking through the video half a second at a time. Got it. My, that was just a flash.
  9. Carol, you mentioned you saw Lestrade in the trailer. Where (or rather, when) was he?
  10. ooh ooh... we've got a dead taxi driver in SIP and by John's hand too! Dead mad scientist at Baskerville.... dead Black Lotus henchmen and dead CIA agents lying about.... The bodies are piling up! But they were bad guys! In a Golden Girls episode once, neighbor cop Barbara told Rose "It's okay to lie to bad guys." So now I'm sayin' it's okay to kill bad guys! Well, on Sherlock anyway.
  11. I haven't seen Janine, and I'm really hoping to. For some reason, I really like her.
  12. Thanks, Carol.
  13. What was he nominated for? And yes, I've been living under a rock.
  14. What - you think you're special? B) Apparently it was all of us.
  15. Really interesting question, Carol. I'd say it's all about the details. Every single detail, every single minute, every character, every line ... not one second goes by that hasn't been thought out and analyzed and sweated out. At least that's what I see. And totally appreciate. That's why I keep watching.
  16. Could Louis Moffat be a candidate?
  17. There was also Carlo the mastiff in Copper Beeches, but I'm sure it's not him. There was also an unnamed dog that the woman's husband killed in Abbey Grange. (Although in Jeremy Brett's version they named the dog Fudge on his tombstone.) There was also a dog in Shoscombe Old Place, the lady's dog, and he turned out to be a clue! Geez, I'm surprised I remember all this stuff!
  18. if it was in his pocket the CIA guy would've seen it and/or felt it easily I think? I seem to remember he wriggles his arm to suggest he is making the can fall out of his sleeve and catches it in his hand just before he klonks the CIA guy with it. There is an image (I stopped the tape to check this) before this - and before he touches Hudders - where you see the outline of the Zil can inside his sleeve. <<< ashamed to say I stopped the tape to check this >>> And I always thought he picked it up from the table! And by the way (just curious), why are we discussing this in this thread?
  19. Anderson is Lestrade's sniffer dog. But I guess Sherlock can have one too.
  20. First point - yes, Sholto's death would upset her because it would upset John - but "destroy her life?" Secondly, yes, she didn't think he would come, but I don't think that meant she didn't want him to come.
  21. Why would Sholto's death destroy Mary's life? Sholto was important to John, not to Mary. And I don't remember Mary hoping Sholto wouldn't come to the wedding.
  22. The plot summary in wikipedia makes decent "Cliffs Notes."
  23. Could the tears resulted from regret at having to put John through this horror?
