Where is everybody from?

About 40 miles from Washington DC, amongst all the spooks and conspiracy kooks.

You mean the CIA has some facilities besides the one in Liberty, Indiana?  :D

We have family in "Suburban Maryland" (as the phone book puts it), so I'm somewhat familiar with the DC area.  How's the traffic where you are?

Pretty grim at rush hour! The rest of the time it depends where you're going. Most of the little downtown areas are pretty congested, but the country bits in between are usually fine.

I'd tell you where all the hush hush facilities are but then I'd have to kill you.....

I'm from Finland. i actually got into Sherlock only after 3rd season. I have friends who really like it and were really excited about about season 3, so I decided to take a look at what the fuss is all about. And the rest is history.

Did you watch the first two series before you watched series 3?  If so, I can't imagine how you would make any sense of it!

Oh, good!  I can't imagine what anyone would have made of Series 3 if they hadn't seen at least part of the first two series.

Congratulations on your new avatar picture!

Hey, that could be a fun experiment! Let's find some folks who've never heard of Sherlock (I know plenty :-(   -- and make them watch S3 cold, w/o any prep, and see what reaction we get!!!!

Actually, I have one test result already -- my mom never saw 1 or 2, but watched 3 with me. (Bear in mind, she neither hears well nor remembers well anymore...) Her reaction? "I kinda like that curly haired guy." Oh mom, I wuv you........

In order for this to be a valid experiment, we'd need people who could be expected to like the show. ( I mean, it would hardly be fair to test S3 on people who like generic television.)  And in order to do that, we'd need to know what it is that all of us have in common (other than loving Sherlock).  Maybe we need a Sherlock Fan Personality Profile thread.

That would be interesting. And thank you, I had a hard time making the picture small enough. I'm actually introducing the series to my mom and her boyfriend, in order though. We just watched the hounds of baskerville.

Hello enda and welcome to the forum!

I think you're our first Swedish member :violin3: . Say, how is the Swedish translation - atrocious, like most seem to be, or workable?
