Thanks for the concern. Parts of Michigan are without power  because of a severe ice storm. It hit hardest about 50 miles north of my area (Jackson) We lucked out with just a little snow and cooooold temps. We had some sunshine today, but the icicles are still hanging from the eaves outside my window.

Glad to hear you're OK!  :D

Just off the top of my head, you and I are the furthest-west forum members right now, so I'm extra glad you're OK!

Congratulations, Katt -- you may be our first member from Costa Rica!  I hear it's a great place!

And it looks like you're straight south of here -- so (near as I can recall) you, M., and I are the three furthest-west members.

Hi

I'm really impressed by the international caracter of this forum!

Okay then, I'm originally from East Germany but I live in France now. To be precise in a  small village (about 827 inhabitants - they probably count the cows...) called Rochetrejoux. Even most of the people in  La Roche sur Yon (which is the biggest town of the region and about 60km from where I live) don't know where Rochetrejoux is...

If you're interested: it's in the region called Vendée which is situed in the West of France.

I can summarize my (now) 7-year-experience in France in a few words (I think some people might know where they're stolen from): France, it's a different planet  :P

Yeah, we are one big international family :D Welcome to the forum, by the way :)

hi all

Another newbie here, not to forums but definitely to this forum (my usual haunts include ones for insane breeds of small dog and small furry animals which go wheek in the night).  Love the idea and seeing where people are from and the global reach, that's amazing guys!

I'm from London, the northern bit, not the cool Baker street end.  I'm up in Barnet so waves to all but those in barnet may actually see me :) )

Hi, Clare -- welcome to Sherlock Forum!  :welcome:  Glad you decided to branch out to a new type of forum!

As Tim says, we've had a whole bunch of new members in the past few days.  Can't imagine why!  Wonder what it'll be like as the new series airs in more countries?

Hi everybody,

Just joined the site, one of those who recently discovered the show and got hooked. ;)

I'm from the Netherlands, and live in a small village between Amsterdam and Utrecht.

Nice international crowd here!

Hello all. Loving this little place to finally get into some nice discussion.

I'm from central Indiana in the USA. About 200 miles from Chicago as well. I have a feeling Carol and I probably live in the same city. Haha.
