Took me 15 minutes to complete the first time, and 9 Doctors...

Did you all see The Day Of The Doctor yesterday??? What did people think??

I saw it at the cinema in 3D and it was truly epic for me from start to finish. I thought it was brilliant and an appearance from an old favourite of mine made me a very happy lady indeed :D

I just realized I can't post to this thread because I don't know how to hide spoilers, but suffice it to say ALL three programs were great. And I have watched two of them more than once.

I was working Saturday night so couldn't watch The Day of the Doctor as broadcast (and have missed out on 2 family gatherings to watch it because of my night shifts). I watched it when I got in on Sunday morning before I went to bed.

Twice.

Watch #3 will probably be tomorrow...

Well, that's easy for me to explain, because I just did it yesterday on another thread:

If you want to use the "automated" button, you first need to highlight whatever you want hidden, then click on the BBCode icon (third icon in the top row of the edit box), then select "Spoiler."  You'll see your selected text (or whatever) displayed, then just click "OK."

I find it easier to just type in the BBCode myself -- just like this, except use [square brackets] instead of the {curly ones}:

{spoiler}stuff to be hidden{/spoiler}

...I missed The Day of the Doctor when it aired, and now have the DVD on order from the library. I feel so ashamed of myself. (!) The fact that Google made a Doctor Who homepage makes me so incredible happy, though.

The fact that Google made a Doctor Who homepage makes me so incredible happy, though.

I understand all the words, but apparently not the context.  Does Google have an assortment of fancy homepages available?  How does one get to them?  (I've just been using plain old Google as my homepage.)

Google has a long standing tradition of changing their illustrations, known colloquially as "Google Doodles" for special dates and occasions. The one for the Doctor Who 50th was a small playable game where the various Doctors had to go on a hunt for the various letters from the Google logo. So in essence they only have a single homepage, it is just the "Google Doodle" that changes from time to time.

Oh, right -- that was cute!  I just misinterpreted what Alice said to mean something permanent, and assumed I'd missed it.

Wonder if they'll do a Sherlock page for the S3 premiere?  Hmm, no, not this time -- surely they'll have something for New Year's Day instead.

An interview with Paul McGann, happy now he's been onscreen again as the Eighth Doctor and wanting all fans to send in their hair!

If you know what to listen for, you can really hear his Scouse (Liverpool) accent in this

Another recent interview with Paul McGann, again lovely to hear his proper accent. :)

Not to be confused with the above, this just came in on the BBC newsfeed:

Doctor Who: The Day Of The Doctor
Special 50th Anniversary episode for BBC One

DayOfTheDoctor_zpsede5f563.jpg

The Doctors embark on their greatest adventure in this 50th anniversary special. In 2013, something terrible is awakening in London’s National Gallery; in 1562, a murderous plot is afoot in Elizabethan England; and somewhere in space, an ancient battle reaches its devastating conclusion. All of reality is at stake as the Doctor’s own dangerous past comes back to haunt him.

Written by Steven Moffat

Directed by Nick Hurran

Executive produced by Steven Moffat and Faith Penhale

Produced by Marcus Wilson

Stars: Matt Smith, David Tennant and Jenna Coleman with Billie Piper and John Hurt

I am going to meet Paul McGann and Sylvester McCoy in just over a week and have my picture taken with them in the Steampunk Tardis!

This is Paul McGann btw, the Eighth Doctor...

This is the 'steampunk Tardis'

And I also have the same Tardis key as was used in this pic (Seventh and Eighth Doctors) although it wasn't actually the key used by them in the tv movie - apparently someone had forgotten the right prop on the day of the photo.

You must be excited!

I just can't get over that mini-sode! "I'm a doctor but probably not the one you were expecting." How true that line was.  :)

I've met Sylvester and Paul, they're both awesome, and really down to earth. (Sylvester's reaction when I said "So we hear you're going to be in The Hobbit?" was "Am I?" In a very whimsical, Doctorish tone. :D
