My username is my first and middle name, I have that problem where any username like that's clever is already taken...my name never is so I just run with it now. And my photo is me!

While I will admit that my surname isn't actually Dabbler (nor am I a duck), I do find that using my real first name helps me feel connected to my internet persona.

Well, a friendo of mine was sleeping over when we started producing screwed-up versions of Benedict Cumberbatch's name while on a mad 3am sugar rush. The best one was Bendydoodle Cantaloupe (not to be confused with bendydoodle-crumpetsnatch of tumblr). We even made a song for it.

 

And my icon?

I found out that Benedict is actually a ginger and the rest is history.

My user name is the shorter version of my 1st name: Jessicah & a combination of a girl I used to mentor named Kayla. We had an idea to do a hidden camera prank show.. That we would call jesskayding... Then life happened & we never consummated the idea, but the name stuck.

 

My icon is a picture I took of one of my DVD covers, it seemed appropriate for this particular forum.

My name 1st half obvious from S2.1 and the 2nd half is the music fandom I'm apart of.  The US has a singer named Jeremy Camp and his fans are called CAMPers.  The ultra die hards are called Team CAMPers of which I am a part.  My avatar is my Gravatar at this point.  It could always change down the road.

My icon has changed, as you all may have noticed, a couple of weeks ago I changed my icon about 5-6 X's. I landed on this one, courtesy of google images. I really like it. I'm sure in a few months I am most likely to change it again.

Am I the only one who kinda thinks of people as looking like their avatars?  I know that hardly any of them actually do (and heaven knows that I look very little like a duck), but I still think of them that way, since I don't know what most of them really look like.

I've characterized Arcadia the most. In my mind she's like an Elmo like personality full of Awe & Amusement with every post. Funny!

 

With that said, maybe I should change my icon back to J-Lo! Although I'm quite attractive in person. Not J-Lo or Laura Pulver attractive. I have been told several times, that I look like a black version of Gina Davis. I can see that... ( minus the crows feet - Black don't crack, at least not yet @ 36, every one thinks  I'm like 26 years of age upon 1st meeting me).

I'll take that as a compliment! I like that sleeping old dog I chose for my photo very much, I'd be flattered to be thought like him (or is it a she? Somehow, I think it's a him).

I explained about my user name in my introduction thread already, but nonetheless: "Schlauer Fuchs" is German for (as I learned) "foxy/sly fox". Looking for a user name the image of a fox detective just popped into my mind and here I am. The avatar just had to be fox, of course. Originally I wanted one wearing Sherlock's deerstalker, but then my graphic skills only stretch so far, so the only thing I could think of to make a fox look particulary smart were glasses. So here I am, a fox wearing glasses
