Maybe he's just hedging his bets. Look how many projects he's signed onto in the last few years that never came to be.

However, methinks this is why he seemed so sure there wouldn't be another Sherlock for awhile....

Speaking of which ... again, no mention of the show whatsoever. Not in the interview I posted the other day, not in the publicity explaining who he is. I really don't think it's coincidence, but I don't know what to make of it. Surely his PR people don't think we're going to forget that's the role he's most famous for .... weird.

Is that "scared" or "scarred" ? :d

Came across this. He was blond when he was little.

There is a picture on the interwebs (and possibly on here) of a very young Benedict (approximately nursery school age) with his dad and his blond hair is quite noticeable. Just never realized until that short video that he was blond still as a teenager as there is another pic I saw where he looks 12 and has red hair. Proof that he ages like I do. Slowly so we look younger than we actually are.

What shirt video?

That should be short not shirt. Didn't catch my typo. Will go back and correct now.

Aw, I was hoping there was a sexy shirt video somewhere that I'd missed! ;)

Sorry not that lucky. :)

And here I was thinking all the time that his natural hair colour is auburn. Dash it all, the Sherlock mop is a disgrace!

His natural color is auburn as of sometime in his teen years. I used to be very blond and as an adult my hair has had more of the red come through so that now I call my hair color winter (red) wheat.

I was a towhead (light blond) until about age 8, then my hair darkened to what it is now ... dark brown with a hint of auburn on a good day. My older brother was even blonder, and his turned black. But my other brother and my sis have had the same color all their lives ... medium blonde. Both my parents, and all my grandparents, had dark hair. Genetics is weird.

I have to admit, BC is really striking with dark hair ...

Same for me. Born blond but I went dark brown by 5 years old. My mom and both of my sisters were also born blond but darkened to brown.

My hubby did the same thing.  By 5 years old his hair was dark brown with auburn highlights (darker than Sherlock's hair color by a little bit that I thought it was black initially).

Apparently it's more common than we may think!

in my opinion, his hair is dark blond.

Sure! You are much more interested in Mycroft's hair colour, it's obvious ;-))

Eh… you mean - Mark's :P

But no, not really. Trying to understand them took almost all of my brain bandwidth. The rest was needed to keep my mouth shut to prevent drooling. B)

Well, second son gets a rather weird combination of names: Hal, after Prince Henry, later King Henry V and Auden, from W.H. Auden? And not a Timothy in there, family tradition seems to go only so far. So, his Mycroft is 3C and Sherlock is HAC, bless their little hearts!

Ah, call me a prophet :P

Apparently it's a second boy. But so far, I only see rumours on Twitter.
