I also only got 11 right.

This is an interesting bimodal distribution -- so far everyone has gotten either 11 or 19 correct answers.

Here I am to buck the trend - 14 correct (well in my defense, it wasn't a Martin Freeman quiz :P).

A perfectly valid point.  Unfortunately, Radio Times is no help, but I did find a pretty good Freeman quiz elsewhere online.  In order not to hijack this thread, I shall post the link on the "Martin Freeman News" thread.

It wasn't much of a trend anyway .... remember, I got 17...... :p

Yeah, but you're the one who posted the thing in the first place -- so I'd forgotten all about your score by the time I finished beating my brains out over that sadistic quiz.  :comp:

And anyhow, it's still a bimodal distribution.

Stop press! Over the next four days Benedict and the Dr Strange crew will be filming at 11th Avenue and 53rd Street in New York. Anybody from New York who's interested...

Wish I lived near enough to be there.

Those of you who do needlework may be interested in a book that Amazon UK just pointed out to me (based on our ordering history):  Benedict Cumberstitch: Cross Stitch Mr. Cumberbatch in 15 Great Patterns.

The table of contents lists Sherlock, Simple Portrait, Red Carpet, Otterbatch, Dragonbatch, Oscarbatch, Frankenstein, Hamlet, Sampler, Photobomb, Classic Holmes, Dancing with Fassbender, Richard III, Eyes, and Detailed Portrait.  The book even begins with a how-to section, showing how the various stitches are done.

Dear Arcadia, some of us DO things like crotchet and other needlework, when we'r not pestering our fellow humans with our obsessions. Might order it along with the DVD of the Special! Looks likely to need some fancy work, though!

I had a peek at the patterns, using Amazon's "Look Inside" feature (with the "Surprise Me" option), and they run the gamut from very simple (and therefore simple looking) to intricate.  The cover is apparently "Sherlock," and looks to be of moderate complexity but one of the nicest effects.  I found some of them disappointing, such as "Dragonbatch," which is a low-resolution Cumberbatch face, contorted as when doing the Smaug mo-cap, framed by dragon wings.  The most ambitious is probably what I take to be the "Detailed Portrait," which looks nearly like a somewhat-grainy photograph (but is unfortunately specified in gray-scale).

I am fascinated by such things, but rarely engage in them.  (Now if it were a book of Martin Freeman patterns with, say, a really nice Bilbo....)

I just came to talk about Zoolander 2... I did not know this was happening...

He's been saying that his Sherlock hair style makes him look like a woman.  Maybe we won't be hearing that so much anymore?

And for anyone who doesn't want to brave the trailer.  be forewarned.

He just confirmed the rumors and finally revealed himself as an alien. Probably Ziggy Stardust II.

ETA: on the other hand many models look like that...

Maybe the MIB theory was true?
