You know your "Sherlock" obsession is bad when...

Recommended Posts

Potato?

Potatoes that Mrs.Holmes put on Mycroft's laptop. XD

I got more:

Deer antler

Envelope

Fire extinguisher

Bowtie

Diamond

Steering wheel (Sherlock drives!)

Obsession: excited to suggest Sherlock's charm ideas.

I'm on fire!

I have so far found all of those. :)

Wow that is dedication. I Know you have some but didn't know it's such a collection. (Anyway I think it's good collection since it's simple and quite practical).

I don't know where to buy them, I'm clueless about jewelries and accessories, but some more ideas you might find fitting:

Sofa

Boomerang

Motorbike

Helmet

Train/subway

Fireplace

Newspaper

Safe

Food items in Sherlock

Map

Sweatshirt/hoodies

Potato :)

Spray can

Police car

Chess piece

Pipet

Coin with holes

Clown (this one will creep me out)

Takeaway coffee cup

Dressing gown

Sherlock's silhouette

Sherlock's palm (the way he pushes door, love that)

For astronomy, Andromeda Galaxy and Saturn might be the easier ones to source.

P.S. I think Angel's Wing is very nice idea!

Sofa - yes, but the style is off so I haven't bought it

Boomerang - available in SS out of Australia

Motorbike - this is an easy one

Helmet - nope

Train/subway - old fashioned train engine, nothing subway/tube

Fireplace - can find a Christmas fireplace

Newspaper - can find one in SS

Safe - nope

Food items in Sherlock - Sherlock eats?  Mince pies?

Map - yes but no

Sweatshirt/hoodies - no hoodies but can find a jumper

Potato  :) - yes, in SS

Spray can - nope

Police car - yes can find

Chess piece - various chess pieces can be found

Pipet - nope

Coin with holes - have to get someone to specifically shoot some, I guess.

Clown (this one will creep me out) - yes, but either the wrong style or in SS

Takeaway coffee cup - yes, it can be found

Dressing gown - yes, in SS

Sherlock's silhouette - can find a bust sillou

Sherlock's palm (the way he pushes door, love that) - yup, just found one.

For astronomy, Andromeda Galaxy and Saturn might be the easier ones to source. - yes, Saturn can be found for certain.  - here is one I've been debating on:

Food items ... Fish and chips!! Or a packet of quavers.

I'm finding I suddenly want to collect all these things. But I'm drawing a blank here ... why a clown? (I'm going to feel dumb when I see the answer, aren't I? )

Well, you can find all sorts of fish and even french fries  but fish and chips together no.  So, you could join the two on a single jump ring and attach it to a bracelet.  That's probably as close as you'd come.

I am nuts, only have a minute to sneak it (because I can't help it!) for more ideas:

Funny hat in TEH

Grocery bag

Harpoon

Musical note (clef)

Pen

Molecule

Log

Bonfire

Guy Fawkes

Something about pirate (anchor, hat, hook?)

Gtg.

Twitter logo - not specifically but this one comes pretty close.

Funny hat in TEH - looked at over 500 hat charms, nothing close.  It's out there probably.  Maybe in a gift shop at a ski resort.

Grocery bag - not specifically but you can find a shopping bag.

Harpoon - nope

Musical note (clef) - tons of  that but the violin is also present for musical stuff

Pen - nope except for fountain pen nibs

Molecule - you can find various pendants with chemical symbols that can be dismantled and turned into charms like this

Log - nope

Bonfire - nope

Guy Fawkes - you can find a SS enameled poppy charm here

Something about pirate (anchor, hat, hook?) - all types.  Take your pick.  Most seem related to Pirates of the Caribbean.

Another minute: I'm obsessed!

Moustache

Pulse (I believe it's mentioned before but didn't see it in your list)

Lipstick

Origami (can be lotus but bird is better= Sherlock's choice of serviette)

Shoe's soles

Chocolate

Ginger bread

ID badge

Perfume bottle

Lab bottle (in stag night)

Stag!

I really shouldn't be here.

Sorry, are we collectively going nuts about Sherlock merchandise ( even from China) to add to the coffers of the licensees so they might start thinking about writing that "damned elusive" S4?

Because my charms bracelet was solid gold 18 carat stuff, no Sherlock items except the Persian slipper!

it's not technically Sherlock merchandise.  It's just items that can be linked to the show. 18k gold Pfft.  Doesn't matter.  It's a charm bracelet.  It can be made out of whatever you want it to be made of.

Ah. Another minute wouldn't kill anybody.

Yes agree, I think it's much more charming if we are being creative about it instead of limited by Sherlock's merchandizes, what's the fun with that? And what's the point of solid gold 18K?

It doesn't matter at all about the material, look at this cutie

2iapz48.jpg

Made from polymer clay, found it in internet. I actually able to create this kind of miniature crafts but I refrain myself from making any promise because promise means to me.

So, not a promise, I might make this in the future and all the things we list, and will share if I able to. Not a promise!

Add: I am actually happy to be known as geek, dork or nerd. :)

I think it means something special.

Really gtg!

Yes, but how durable would something like that be on a charm bracelet?  I will put up a picture tomorrow of some of the charms I have put together.    I may create a few different Sherlock-themed charm bracelets for myself depending on how creative I get.  Plus, after the Christmas special, there may be a whole new set of charms I need to find.

Yes, clowns from TSoT.

Nahh...Sherlockians have higher IQ than ordinary people. XD

Yes, shoe print from TRF

Chocolate and ginger bread from TRF as well.

The children are found in chocolate factory, and Moriarty sent burn ginger bread to Sherlock.

It's oven baked. Every parts would stay together once it's baked. Durable but the smaller it is the more tedious to make, so it might end up not charm-size.

But it's not costly (not counting oven) and charming!

So, they are collectibles! That makes sense! As for having an 18 carat gold charms bracelet, it can and was sold for its intrinsic value! Knickknacks cannot.

Oh, you'd be surprised. Some knickknacks and handmade stuffs can be valuable.

No bluff, I know so.

It's out there really, lots of info you can't get from books.

Coin with holes - have to get someone to specifically shoot some, I guess.

Or just use a Chinese coin -- which could serve for both Mary's trick shot and "Blind Banker"

Pen - nope except for fountain pen nibs

Guy Fawkes - you can find a SS enameled poppy charm here

A pen nib could serve double duty -- both for the "Parker Duofold with an iridium nib" used in "Great Game" and also Mary's reference to "His Nibs."  (Yeah, I know, two different kinds of "nibs.")

Moftiss's reference to a poppy was actually with regard to Armistice Day or whatever they call it in the UK, which is November 11th, less than a week after Guy Fawkes Day but with no other connection to it.  And since they didn't think to have anyone wearing the traditional poppies, there's no association with the show, only with the commentary.

Origami (can be lotus but bird is better= Sherlock's choice of serviette)

Lab bottle (in stag night) - lab equipment charms - for geeks only!  LOL

Or Mary's choice of serviette, Sydney Opera House.

Hey, who you calling a geek!?  If you're looking for that particular type, it's called a graduated cylinder.

I have taken the liberty of editing out the dark background from your three posts, Jenny.  I assume it was an artifact of a copy-and-paste (that happens sometimes, no idea why).  If you don't know what I'm talking about, it probably looked fine on the theme that you're using -- but on the IP.Board, Mobile, and SFW themes (which normally have white backgrounds) it makes the text (which is also dark) basically invisible.

Three today: firstly, there is a road in the nearby city, one I have been down a hundred times...I only just noticed today that it's called ' Moffat road'!

Then, I returned from my day out to be greeted by an excited daughter: apparently my best pal had called and left a  special gift for me...a bag made from an image of Benedict's face!

Then when I came on this lap top, my 1st message was from her...tagging me into the new Special image!

Dear Carol,

First, a question: do amphibians stutter? In another thread you went but-but-but!

Second, the coin Mary shoots is very definitely the unique seven-sided 50 -pence piece which functions as coin of the realm.

We are certainly not geeks, except in our chosen fields, wnen it comes to Sherlock we could be the equal of the Borg Collective: any anti-Sherlock person would be assimilated! ^_^

Dear Besleybean, I found a Cumberbatch Mews!

Dear sfmpco, of course you wouldn't sell your bracelet: sentiment!

But I did sell mine, and a family heirloom at that, from my aunt and godmother, because bracelets of any kind are "not really my thing" . Earrings now... that could be another story!

The framed charms are ones i am working on now.    The bracelet has too many charms to show them all well, but you get an idea.  It currently has 41 charms on it.
