You are actually wearing this?

You must be rattling and clanking like a ghost with a chain. :D

That would only get worn for special occasions, and as the frames are alloy, they don't rattle that much.

Someone on Twitter asked me if I would make a Johnlock-themed one.  In my best Sherlock head voice I said.... Uhhmmmm...NO.

Would you make a Sherlolly themed one?  ;)

No, not really, even though I ship it.  I think just the general cast is more than plenty although I did include the big Sherlolly kiss on mine, but heck it's mine, and I'll put on it what I want to!

This is the new bracelet that I just made for myself. Someone on Twitter asked me if I would make a Johnlock-themed one. In my best Sherlock head voice I said.... Uhhmmmm...NO.

Sherlock saying NO is my favorite, esp in SIB last scene. That must be the one you use?

Don't know about others..the link doesn't seem to work with my phone. Anyway, I think at least your picture framed charms would be envied by others. It's best when you make it unique.

Although I'm not into bracelet, this inspires me to make unique pendant based on Sherlock's theme.

On the topic,

I used to read and think forumers dissecting their favorite show to each and every details as borderline nutty. Obsession: now I belong to one.

Edit: it shows up! Your image shows up :)

Borderline? To me, it is full-blown nutty. But I'm fine with being crazy. I once knew a psychiatrist who liked to say: "my goal is not to make people sane, it is to enable them to work, love and care for themselves without harming other people."

As long as we're high-functioning, we can be as nuts as we want, if you ask me. Neither my job nor my relationship are in any danger because of my obsession with a TV show, and as for my happiness, well, that's rather increased. So in my book, it's all fine.

(Btw, one of the many reasons why I love this series is that all major characters are more or less nuts and it includes central quotes like "it's all fine".)

Cheers to that!

At least by being here I have place to vent my obsession about the show so I can be slightly more normal out there.

It does make me happier in a way because there are times when I'm grinning like crazy on the road because I remember certain scenes and there are fuzzy feelings once in a while. Weird but it's all good.

You mean -- all the major characters are very much like real people? I agree with you and your shrink friend, but then I go a step further -- why let the self-proclaimed "normals" decide who is or isn't nuts? Aren't they roughly the same crowd who define "adult" as "dead between the ears"?

I have known a few people who really are dysfunctional, and that's sad. But as you say, as long as you're making your way in life without causing major harm to others, I am perfectly willing to call you sane. And I'd far rather hang out with you than with the normals! (Which is just as well, since they wouldn't have me anyhow.)

When you are finished packing food at a non-profit and think of Sherlock when you see the scarves in their marketplace are tied to the line in the same European knot.

Normal is boring. :) Normal is overrated.

Anyway, my motto is.. people who don't want to hang out with me don't deserve my presence anyway. (Something along that line, I think I butchered it somehow).

You know you're obsessed when you plan to watch S2 and S3 on PBS again, starting in August. Just to encourage PBS to keep broadcasting it... :p

(Maybe someone can suggest a better place to put this announcement?)

... when you smile because you hear that your neighbor started to learn violin (after he was practicing pipes for quite a long time).

And you smile not only because you think of Sherlock, but also about Ben learning for the show. Which is how it sounds right now. :D

When you say "pipes" -- Pan pipes or bagpipes?  (If the latter, much as I love that instrument, I fully comprehend your glee!)

Posted

Not sure as the neighbor (thankfully) practices with closed windows, and it's the other house, so that I can hardly hear it. To me it sounded like the bagpipe without the bag. d-unno.gif Irish or Scottish in music style.

Posted

Oh, you'd know the difference.  Pan pipes sound flute-ish.  What you're describing sounds like he's been practicing on his chanter (i.e., the bagpipes without the bag, just as you said).

Yes, that seem to be it. I would recognize pan pipes, but there is plenty flute-like instruments out there.

Anyway, having experienced a complete bagpipes in RL, I'm happy that the neighbor stayed with the chanter. It's no wonder the instruments were used as a weapon in the past :D

I thought you should all know I had my first ever "Sherlock" dream last night.  I'm not sure if this is a testament to the effects of the hiatus, too much Sherlolly fanfic, or both, but in my dream I was watching the 3rd and last episode for series 4, and then it pans out to Molly sitting on some obscure carnival ride and then it pans out a little more and there is someone sitting next to her and they're holding hands.  The camera never reveals the face of the person sitting next to her and then it fades to black and credits.  Like the clothing and body look to be Sherlock, but he's just enough out of the shot that you only see his arm and side... no face.  And in my dream I was like... WTF Mofftiss!!!  Is that Sherlock?!?!  djlfkjslajlgkjalksdjfd!!!!

So yes, that happened.  lol  I think this has finally reached a wholly unhealthy state;  Mofftiss is torturing me in my dreams.  And the truly hilarious part is that I can't imagine Sherlock EVER going to a carnival and riding rides, so like your typical dream goes... it makes NO sense.

They should totally set a crime scene at a carnival, just so we can see Sherlock's reaction. :D

And include Mycroft in the scene. "The noise! The people!"

I.. think I don't mind if Series 4 ends that way XD.

Does Molly hold a gigantic teddy bear? Because I know a person who can wins her one with shooting skills.
