It doesn't seem like there's a whole lot of food in Sherlock.  (Why aren't these people starving?)  Just for kicks (and as a possible fanfic resource), let's make a list of everything seen or mentioned in the show.

The Unaired Pilot (I'm skimming through Ariane DeVere's transcript -- hope that's not cheating!):

John has a glass of water at his desk when we first see him.

John goes with Mike Stamford for lunch at the Criterion.  We see them with glasses of wine, and the waiter brings a basket of assorted bread.

Sherlock asks Molly for a cup of coffee, black, with two sugars.

The sign on what is actually Speedy's reads "Mrs. Hudson's Snax 'n' Sarnies" -- which I am told means snacks and sandwiches.

Mrs. Hudson offers to make John a cup of tea, and he asks for a couple of biscuits to go with it (though he leaves before she has a chance to serve any of it).

John is eating something at Angelo's.

Sherlock asks Angelo for a glass of white wine, which he proceeds to splash all over himself.

At the end of the episode, Sherlock and John are heading to "a good Chinese [restaurant] at the end of the road."

 Did I miss anything?

Please feel free to mention any food / beverage from any episode in any order you like.  (There is absolutely no need to be obsessive about it -- guess I'm just in one of those moods.)

That sounds about right for the UAP.

In ASIP:

John & Mike have coffee from Criterion

Sherlock still asks for his coffee black, 2 sugar

John eats something pasta-y from Angelo's

The Chinese restaurant is still mentioned

The tea & biscuits that he ends up not getting from Mrs. Hudson

TBB:

John & Sarah: Punch and snacks from Mrs. Hudson before ordering takeaway

John went grocery shopping.

ASIB:

Sherlock taking a Mince Pie from Mrs. Hudson's fridge

Tea at Buckingham

Morning tea/breakfast after the drug incident

HOB:

Coffee with sugar

Sherlock's drink by the fireplace

John has breakfast of some sort at the inn

John has an Ale or something as well

TRF:

Sherlock's Tea Party

TEH:

John: Tea & Biscuits with Mrs. Hudson before Sherlock shows up.

John: The Landmark/Daffodil

Sherlock's Fish & Chips

Possibly something at the 2 smaller restaurants after The Landmark

TSOT:

The wedding reception had a fair amount of food

Stag night

Mrs. Hudson trying to give John a traditional full breakfast after the Stag Night

Sherlock's breakfast going cold

HLV:

Minced Pie

Punch

Tea

Coffee at CAM's office

Then there's the scene from the outtake at the kitchen table where the boys are having something (I keep forgetting which episode that's in)

Feel free to add to my lists or make corrections as I'm going off the top of my head.

You remembered all that off the top of your head?! Sweet fancy Moses. all I could remember was the fish and chips.

There's a plate of something Sherlock didn't eat in ASiP, I can't remember what it is. John & Mrs. H shake their heads over it, I think it's while Sherlock is playing the violin.

Do the drugs Sherlock took in HLV count? :p How about the head in the fridge?

Mycroft's brownish liquid in various scenes (I like to watch his artistic hands :3)

Wow, I think you guys almost covered everything. Hmmm... Doesn't John mention Risotto in one episode? "There's still some of that Risotto in the fridge"? Isn't that in The Great Game?

(It stuck with me because I think Risotto is actually quite a fancy dish. I'm fond of making it, but you have to stand over it nearly the entire time. Also, it's only really good when fresh. Day-old Risotto from the fridge, warmed up in the microwave? Blech. No wonder Sherlock preferred a date with Moriarty to that! :P)

By the way, it seems to be a popular idea in fan fiction to make Sherlock eating-disordered. I wonder why. I mean, he does eat, just not when he's working. But he plans meals - sort of (telling Mrs Hudson he'll need some food when he gets back in A Study in Pink, for example), and we often see him stuffing something into his mouth after a job is done, be it fish and chips or something from Mrs Hudson's kitchen. He's not the type to sit down three times a day with a knife and fork, but then, some of us just aren't.

You forgot the apple. Or two actually. One is on John's table as he tries to write his blog at the beginning of ASIP (along with a cup of something)

The second is the IOU apple. Jim pics it from a bowl full of apples.

And then there is the surprisingly good Eye-Tea.

I remembered the eyeball tea after it was all posted and decided someone else could post that.

Pretty sure this hasn't been mentioned before.

Take your pick. Feet or beer.

Edit: Dang! Didn't realize the question is for the show.

Quoting our marvellous Ariane DeVere:

FLASHBACK. A blurry figure walks in through a door, closes it and then walks forward. At the far end of the room Sherlock is sitting at a small table which has a red tablecloth. He is wearing a hospital gown and has his morphine drip on a stand beside him. On the table in front of him is a plate with a part-finished meal on it. Some penne pasta and what looks like a cherry tomato remain.

BARTHOLOMEW’S HOSPITAL. In the canteen, mortician Molly Hooper is looking at the choices in the self-service display.
SHERLOCK: What are you thinking: pork or the pasta?

Actually, you mean ASiB (which is one reason I tend to use abbreviated names for the episodes, rather than initials -- those two are so close that I always have to stop and think). As for the plate, Ariane DeVere describes it only as "breakfast."

Wasn't there a somewhat similar scene in, umm, "Sign"? John comes in and points out that Sherlock's so busy in the chat room that he hasn't touched his breakfast -- here it is: "a slice of gammon steak with a pineapple slice on top of it, a fried egg and some chips."  (What the heck is a "gammon"?)

While looking for the above, I came across Ariane's description of John's full-English: "a fried egg, two sausages, mushrooms, baked beans, tomato slices and two half-slices of buttered toast." And the wine & canapes at the wedding, plus there was that roast (with the thermometer in it), and a close-up of someone's time-lapse dinner. As CAMPer said, lots of food at the wedding! John also mentioned cutting the cake.

Doesn't John mention Risotto in one episode? "There's still some of that Risotto in the fridge"? Isn't that in The Great Game?

Right, it's when John is leaving with the intention of going to Sarah's.  I assume it's pre-made risotto (from a restaurant or a grocery freezer), since I agree that it seems an unlikely dish for a couple of bachelors to prepare.  Or maybe someone had them over to dinner and gave them the leftovers?  He also mentions that they need milk and beans.  (What do they do with all that milk, by the way?  Do we ever see them drink it, or eat cold cereal, or anything?)

That's from John's blog?  That's fine too -- supplementary info.  (I'll have the beer, please!)

Don't forget the olive that the "shadowy figure" later fishes out of that pasta!

I think the milk goes in their multiple cups of tea and then all of Sherlock's various experiments.

I still think he must take milk baths. Isn't there something about slipping food into Sherlock's hand and he takes a bite unaware? Or has that already been mentioned?

Food is used as a euphemism / metaphor for sex in ASIB.

Continuing that into S03 is apt and amusing.

If you Think about it.

We can't forget about John having some food in Chinatown in TBB.

Then there is the tea Mrs. Hudson brings up in TEH when she's talking to both Mycroft & Sherlock.

And how could I forget about Mrs. Hudson bringing Sherlock tea without biscuits the morning of the wedding in TSOT.

I'd argue it's been a pretty consistent metaphor for sex since Episode 1 (and unaired pilot, too), actually.

Ooh, food as sex -- cool -- something new to obsess over while we wait!

If we must ... <_<

Do feel free to eschew obsession!  :D   (That should be a food pun, but I'm too sleepy to make it work.)
