Eh... why it's not showing in US yet?

DARNED IF I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DHYBi61.gifHuff huff huff huff.....
I can't think of any reasons. Normally, it's either the same or later for other countries right? For US production.. (eh...it is, right?)

Are there any countries with a later date?

I checked it so you don't accidentally bump into spoilers. (Because I know how it's like, ugh)

These are the dates according to Imdb.

Basically you are only ahead from Serbia, Argentina and Japan.

There could be different or more info from other sources I think.

25th October: UK, Ireland, Taiwan

26th October: Belgium, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, South Korea, Philippines, Poland

27th October: Australia, Germany, Greece, Croatia, Denmark, Indonesia, Moldova, Malaysia, Netherland, New Zealand, Portugal, Singapore, Thailand

28th October: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Denmark, Estonia, Spain, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Mexico, Swede4 Ukraine, Vietnam

31st October: Russia

2nd November: Brazil, Egypt

3rd November: Colombia, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Hungary, Israel, Cambodia, Republic of Macedonia, Slovakia

4th November: Bulgari, Canada, China, India, Sri Lanka, Latvia, Norway, Romania, Turkey, USA, South Africa.

10th November: Serbia

24th November: Argentina

27th January!!!: Japan

*Some countries are indeed listed twice. It could be premier on different states or something similiar I guess.

Thanks, Van Buren! I'm glad you thought to check IMDb -- that's my usual source, but somehow it never occurred to me this time.

What's with Japan? Can we assume (as we sometimes do for Germany) that anyone there who's majorly interested will have bought either a Region 2 DVD or a Region A Blu-Ray long before January 27th? (Assuming either is available by then.)

I can certainly see using spoiler boxes through the end of November or December. What do y'all think?

At least through November, yeah.

Cambodia gets it before we do.    a12sreq.gif

I blame Trump.

Oh, and the real reason I came here: nice little article about the movie. Nothing earth-shatteringly new, but nice. http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/movies/2016/10/30/doctor-strange-set-visit-cover-story/92673674/

But in a way that the people he interviews respond well to. He puts them at ease instead of putting them off like so many of the fans-who-pretend-to-be-interviewers do. I'd like to know his secret. Genuine warmth, perhaps.

More word fun with Tilda and Benedict.

@Carol, no worries. My pet peeve is being spoiled, so I try not to let that happen

@Arcadia. *Swat hands!* you keep digging stuffs, not afraid getting spoiler eh? XD But I guess since you have already read the comic, it's fine.

In that case I have questions

I read somewhere (not the comic) that Dr. Strange is quite a womanizer?

And he actually has much more power and abilities?

Enjoy the show soon, guys.

Saw it tonight with Johnspec in IMAX 3D. It was brilliant.

loved the cloak lapel thing. When I saw it in the trailers I thought it was a playful slap. Seeing it in the IMAX 3D, it seemed more like the lapels were trying to dry his tears. I found it funny still but also a touch enduring because of what preceded it.

Yep, so far I haven't learned anything I didn't already know from either the comics or the casting. (Tilda as the Ancient One, e.g.) Besides, trying to keep me away from Benedict when he's being silly is like trying to keep me away from chocolate ... ain't gonna happen. :P

Not while I was reading it! He had a live in girlfriend, Clea, who was also (rather inappropriately) his student. I gather she was finally got rid of, but I'd stopped reading long before then. Too bad, I loved Clea, I was hoping she'd be in this film.

I don't know what abilities he has in the movie, but I'm assuming yeah, he's got a lot more to learn. He was still alive the last I saw of him in the comics,  so he must be pretty powerful, given the magnitude of his opponents. Gods and such.

@van Buren...thank goodness they didn't show that particular aspect!

Yah I prefer him that way like in the movie. :)

I had to look it up. Dr. Christine Palmer is played by Rachel McAdams, who also plays Irene Adler to Downey's Holmes. Quite a contrast between her two roles!

I've seen them, but it's been a while, and the two roles are quite different -- so I didn't realize it was the same actress.

Dr. Strange did well this weekend at the box office didn't it?

I saw the movie last tuesday....I loved it!!!! Ben was simply fantastic and also the plot was very interesting! I usually don't like Marvel's films very much, but this one was superlative!!!
