Episode 2 has likely "wrapped" (I use quotes because I think the majority of it has wrapped but that it's a more fluid type of shooting).  So, they'll have a little break, and then it's time for the third block.  They've already done the read-through for the third episode.

Someone pointed out the "weird" nurse uniforms. This is true, I remember those funny hats from Poland and I' kind of used to them, so it didn't catch my eye, but it would indicate that the "hospital" scenes are flashbacks from the past. It's hard to say when in the past, research is difficult, because there are thousands of styles. The puffy sleeves... eighties? forties?

Depends. Do you want to marry it, or just pet it? :p

Ah, so sweet.  Sue Vertue tweeted to tonight's rain-soaked setlockers:  Hey #setlock. I'm worried you're getting wet down there and won't see anything new. It's the same scene as yesterday. BC and MF not here.

I wonder how many stayed anyhow.

Ruther tweeted a photo of about 4,5 of them all under umbrellas!

or they could just be scary-looking nurses, not necessarily going back in time

Could be an earlier era, and/or could be a different country. You're right about the many styles of caps. Over here it depended on which nursing school you graduated from -- but then they gradually stopped giving out caps when more and more men went into nursing (maybe around 1970?). And of course there are various orders of nursing nuns.

I was considering going to the South Bank looking for where the filming was, but I'm glad I saw Sue's Twitter post before I seriously considered going - it would have been a waste of time.  I apparently missed filming of scenes with Martin earlier in the day, but I didn't know about those in advance.  I still feel lucky about what I saw Sunday night at North Gower Street and Monday night at Gordon Square a mile or so from my hotel. :lol4:

Actually, I suspect that's two shots of John Watson and two of Martin Freeman. And if so, I'm now somewhat less worried that the new hairstyle will make the former indistinguishable from the latter.

A little action from last Wednesday, including a green screen setup. Wonder if part of that bridge will be "destroyed."

Judging by the placements of the green screens, I'd guess that the bridge is to be "relocated."

some setlockers reported that Sherlock threw something over the side of the bridge ie. a gun that he got from LIR 's purse.  So perhaps green screen is there for them to be able to show this item going over the side and into the Thames?

I doubt it, since the greenscreen shown in the photo is at the end of the bridge (over land) and above it. This implies to me that they're planning to substitute a different setting and background. They aren't greenscreening the center of the bridge or the water under it, so the gun can be shown exactly as filmed.

there is another speculation going on about that particular scene that they are adapting a part of The problem of Thor Bridege.

Hmmm... the photo I saw of the green screen showed it angled out away from the bridge over the water or whatever is below ... the abyss... angled out from the handrail so perfectly positioned to CGI something that was thrown off/down off the bridge.   Stay tuned we must!

Thanks for all the Intel! I don't much like the initials of the character for Ep.1, since they are famously those of the Gentleman Cracksman, A.J. Raffles, ACD's brother-in-law's creation.

and the casting call for "a young Sherlock, age 6" went out today.  Needed for the 5 week shoot of Epi 3, starting 27 June.

Is the WIR holding a gun?  Does she shoot Sherlock and is that why she doesn't help him?

The person who posted that on twitter said, "you can kind of see her holding gun."  I take that to mean she may be holding something that could be a gun.  Looks to me like it could be a camera.  Whatever it is (if anything), Sherlock seems to be holding his hand out for it.  Let's wish him better luck than last time!
