Loo apparently has some sort of chest infection, but she's a trooper and is filming regardless.

She is wearing crime scene booties on her feet, so Molly has gone to that location to be part of whatever is being investigated.  I'm glad she's being given more to do and is taking a more prominent role of helping in Sherlock's investigations.

I believe it is Anderson who said Molly did Moriarty's autopsy, but as Anderson had already been sacked by NSY at that point and was into his own theories on how Sherlock could have survived, that may only be an assumption on his part.  If, however, Molly did in fact do the autopsy, there is no reason at all to believe that THAT Moriarty is alive (and why Sherlock would ever question it in the first place in his mind palace is odd), because surely she would have communicated that information with him or Mycroft would have.

I believe you're talking about this scene:

LESTRADE: Let it go. Sherlock’s dead.

ANDERSON: Is he?

LESTRADE: There was a body. It was him. It was definitely him. Molly Hooper laid him out.

ANDERSON: No, she’s lying. It was Jim Moriarty’s body with a mask on!

... in which case, no, it was Sherlock's "autopsy" that Molly did.  Though Anderson clearly does believe that Moriarty is dead, and Lestrade doesn't deny it.

Nobody else seems to know he's dead, though, other than Sherlock, John, and Mary.  Oh, and apparently Mycroft.  But we've seen no mention of it in the various news reports (of Sherlock's "death" and of his exoneration).

Ah yes, that scene.  Remembered it a bit wrong.  Should have checked.

As for no one knowing he's dead for sure except the inner circle, that may be what Mofftiss meant about the thing we've all overlooked.  No, there isn't mention of it, so the world may be thinking he's still alive, even if he isn't.  Mofftiss said they didn't fake two deaths.  That's what they SAID.  But don't you think that once Sherlock was safely out of sight that he would have told his people to go get Moriarty's body off the roof?  Of course he would have.

Another theory is that this could be a body double for Moriarty.  He found someone that looked enough like Sherlock to fool the little girl, and he may have found someone to groom that looked very much like himself.

Men in Black would be OK if this wasn't Sherlock Holmes they are filming, with a tired old gag from S1!

Someone (BC?) played a little joke on Loo?

Unfortunately, that's still the link to the "men in black".  I'd rather see Loo!

Dear TOBY, a cave is where the Duke of Holderness's legitimate son was being sequestered by his illegitimate half brother. And the Duke could live in such a castle as where they have been filming. Should add The Case of the Priory School in my list of probabilities.

Wasn't it a cave only in the Brett adaptation?  I seem to recall noticing that they'd changed that detail, and thinking that the "disused sweets factory" scene in "Reichenbach" was pretty clearly based on the Brett version.

In the original story, the boy was being held at an inn, not a cave. This Wikipedia article has a pretty detailed plot summary:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Adventure_of_the_Priory_School

I have a few theories about this reappearance of Moriarty because after all, he is dead.

1.  It's a flashback to his "empire."  I think S4 may have a lot of flashbacks and explaining.  We already know we're getting a very young Sherlock.

2.  It's a mind palace scene - although I doubt that as Sherlock sort of deals with the "virus in the data" in TAB - with the caveat that he's high at the time, of course.

3.  It's a red herring.  However, it's an expensive red herring, so I still prefer #1.

4.  They have separated James Moriarty from Professor Moriarty and who we are seeing is the professor.  "It is never twins, Watson!"  may in fact come back into play.

So, my strongest theory is #1 with the second being #4.

My bet is on a #1 and #2. #4 is theoretically possible, but I don't like it, so I refuse to believe it until I see it (and then I will grumble).

it does seem like it's all MP and flashbacks???  other than clueing for looks w/ Denver and the delivery of Bluebell Watson in a car.....  everything else seems to be MP and/or flashbacks.  Odd?  or does Setlock always feel this way (this is my first Setlock)

Amanda was on her way to Cardiff today with some press, so it may be a press day for SHERLOCK.  Seems like the crew, at least, is pretty focused on the Welsh football team at the moment!

I don't know, it's my first Setlock too (somehow, TAB doesn't seem to count.) But it all seems that way to me, too! Not that I'm complaining, the mind palace scenes are often some of the best parts of the show.

I don't believe that Sherlock's mind palace was mentioned much last time -- mostly because we'd only seen it in one episode ("Hounds"), where it was presented as simply a memory device (as Mycroft mentioned in TAB, and as is actually the case in real life).  He didn't move into it till, I think, "Sign."

Andrew Scott is so rocking the bad boy poses and clothes, from what we've seen on the beach, that I don't care if it's MP or flashbacks or twins!  He's FUN

Technically, although it isn't identified as MP, ASIP has it when he is figuring out the route to chase down the cabbie.  S3 saw the MP in every episode, and then it was nothing but in TAB pretty much.  Of course it isn't actually named until HOB.

Does the scene where Irene deduces the boomerang in ASiB count?
