You call speaking in sentences that aren't complete talking?

I'd like to see Sherlock deduce Trump the way he deduced Norbury. Except that Trump might drop a nuke on him.

I burst out laughing last night when I saw an ad for Ralph Northam, a neurologist who's running for governor of our state. To quote the Washington Post: "In the ad, Northam speaks in his laconic Virginia drawl about the importance of listening as a doctor.... Then he looks at the camera and calmly says, “I’m listening carefully to Donald Trump, and I think he’s a narcissistic maniac.” Me too, Ralph, me too.

Trump just criticised the mayor of London http://edition.cnn.com/2017/06/05/politics/trump-criticizes-london-mayor-sadiq-khan-again/index.html for the love of God leave the guy alone, he just said that people shouldn't be alarmed by the increase of police, don't take things out of context!

Did you know that there are actually psychiatric professionals out there who genuinely believe Trump is, shall we say, unhinged? But there's also a concern that the medical profession is not supposed to influence the public by diagnosing politicians from afar ... which seems a reasonable point of view. But others are saying maybe they have a patriotic duty to sound the alarm, when the guy seems as obviously unbalanced as Trump does. Bit of an ethical dilemma for some of them, apparently. Not too many are speaking out though ... too hard to prove what they're saying is true. Even if it is. I can't help but think he's crazy like a fox, with a hefty dose of sheer ignorance.

I'm also pretty sure that if Muslims weren't such an easy target right now, he'd find another group to attack (Mexicans, perhaps?) That's his base ... people who hate anyone who's not like them. Let's all hope it's too small a base to sustain him for much longer. Less optimistic about that than I used to be, though.

He definitely does seem to have something genuinely wrong with him, some kind of personality disorder at the very least.

I'm normally pretty meh about politics, but everything Trump says and does repulses me. Using a terror attack as an excuse to belittle a foreign politician he has a feud with (and let's not forget he attacked Sadiq Khan after the last London attack too), is so disgusting that I'm lost for words. People have literally been murdered in our streets and he's rubbing his grubby little hands together and using it as fuel for a pathetic and petty attack that everyone can see was taken entirely out of context.

Precisely.

My chief worry (I think) is that it's not a personality disorder, but an actual strategy to bring about world conflict. Is he smart enough to do that? Probably not, but to all accounts Steve Bannon is, and it's long been known that he favors that kind of thinking. Brrrrr.

Pretty sure I've worn each of those expressions at least once while listening to him.

Does he live in fear all his life? He always try to inject fear to people.

If there were attacks in America, would he ask people to grab guns, go to street and fight instead of being calm? No wonder he likes the other guy, Duterte.

Anyway, I had bad boss before, but I can't imagine the level of insanity of working for someone who constantly undermining his own staff and that.. dumb.

I think yes, he probably would. Anything that turns people against each other, he's for.

Wasn't it Orlando?

Posted

Yes, Orlando. They think it was a "disgruntled employee" trying to get back at his former co-workers. :(

This has become so routine in the US that they barely report on them any more.

God, makes me remember why I hate watching the news, especially with what's currently coming in.

But on a more cheery note...

Meanwhile, in Canada...

Nice. Without hassle of bodyguards and still enjoying ordinary life.

Anyway, more and more politicians and influential people started to 'disown' Trump. Good sign?

Posted

I hope it's a good sign. Although I was reading an editorial today, which theorized that as more people disown him, Trump will become more angry and isolated, which will make him more dangerous and unpredictable. The writer imagined all sorts of scary things he could do in those circumstances. I keep saying he can't get any worse, but he does .... so I hesitate to ignore this editorial.

I had to laugh ... I see where the mayor of London has asked the Prime Minister to uninvite Trump to a fall meeting. I would love it if that happened. :d

There was a huge petition to stop Trump coming here but they don't seem to care. I really wish he'd stop going after Khan, do you know that a while back he was petty enough to challenge him to an IQ test?

Read that one too. Please make it happen.

Does he feel triumphant over Qatar isolation? But nobody seems to share the feeling.

Seriously?

I'd love to see how many points he would get! And I'd probably demolish the whole system as well, as I have seen many people with high IQ but total idiots. Him getting good result would be the last straw for my trust of that thing.
