Depends on what people view as better decisions. Some would say yes others would say no. With some, like me, saying it depends on the issue being decided on and even then there would be a debate as to whether or not the decision was the right one. (In part because many [not necessarily a majority] people think that all truth is relative/subjective [for that statement (everything after 'people that that') to be true (a fact thus absolute/objective), it automatically becomes false].

I don't know much about Pence, other than that he's an evangelical Christian, and I therefore assume I would disagree with most of his views. But my gut feeling is that someone like him, being an actual, professional lawmaker instead of a professional self-promoter, would do things with more respect for history, diplomacy and our allies than Trump. Also he would have different people advising and supporting him, which could only be a plus.

 

But no, his goals wouldn't be that different ... I think he'd mostly just be less embarrassing. Which would be something.
