He probably insulted her appearance because God forbid you look anything less than a model.

I thought it was bizarre, to say the least. Who comes up with stuff like that? But the biggest mystery to me is still ... why do his followers like it? And is there any way we can round them up and ship them to the moon? Preferably sans spacesuits?

How about: Send them on a 5 year mission with an air supply that's less than that and have the ship be able to travel at the speed of light once it's cleared Earth's atmosphere. And make sure that there is no option for procreation before they leave as we need smarter spawns than that.

Too expensive. :p How about an island in the South Atlantic instead?

Special training mission like they used to do back in the day before I was born. Make it useful by using a rocket meant for launching a satellite. The satellite gets launched and the rest of the rocket containing the people continues on. No extra expense if it continues at its normal speed.

Lol. Deal. Just to see the expression on their faces when they realized the rocket's not going back. :d

This is what Trump supporters would say if they read this thread:

In all seriousness, this sounds like a call for violence. This is why I always try to stay away from people with guns regardless of their reason for possessing them.

Anti-Trump twitter accounts of which there are many. This ad was only released a few days ago and people are afraid that it's going to cause trouble for those protesting the muslim ban (which was referred to in the video).

The ironic thing is that the NRA can make an add like this and get away with it. I think U.S. Freedom of Speech laws are too lax. I think we need to tighten up what constitutes a call for violence since so many people in the country have guns.

Meanwhile in Poland…
This is an actual shield. It says: that 80% women with ovary, breast and brain cancer have had an abortion.

It's not enough to threaten women with eternal condemnation. Time for alternative facts.

Oh God, abortion. I'm not opening that can of worms, so I'll just say this: it saddens me that Poland have started to have their own "fake news".

I do know that woman who've had an abortion are more likely to get breast cancer (not sure about the other 2 forms). There's something about the abrupt ending of the pregnancy with the pregnancy hormones being at the high level they're at that triggers the risk. Whether or not that ends up being 80% would all depend on the size of the research group and how the research group was formed.

And who paid for it.
First thing, while the official statistics say there are 700-2000 abortions a year, the number of illegally made abortions are estimated as high as 150K. How can you make such a calculation?

It wouldn't surprise me if the illegal abortion estimates are pulled out of thin air. The guy who went before US congress back in the 70's trying to push for abortion rights admitted some years later that his numbers regarding illegal abortions was completely made up (I heard him mention it in an interview). He has since changed his stance and no longer supports abortions (not sure if he has any exceptions).

Even if the numbers on that Polish sign were correct, they still would not prove abortion causes any of the listed diseases. At the utmost, there might be a correlation, that's all. Looks like blatant fear mongering to me.

I still say the best anti-abortion policies are those that prevent unwanted pregnancies in the first place through education, access to birth control, affordable health care, protection from sexual violence, etc. Then come policies that make having children less of a risk factor for poverty and support programs for young and / or marginalized families.

Poor women in Poland.

The wrestling video. I saw that the guy who originally tweeted/posted it issued an apology.

Not sure if it's genuine, but it was well written, I hope he is genuinely frightened with the possible impact it could cause and surprised with how 'little thing' from someone unknown could go in that direction.

Meanwhile the president, who is well known, with much more power and capable to influence and mislead the, literally, whole world, didn't say anything?

P.S. regarding you guy's idea to send troublesome people away, I suggest everyone who wants war and violences, including any politians, can pack all their guns and weapons and shipped to a isolated desert or somewhere. Chernobyl, Pripyat and Fukushima comes to mind. Seal them off and they can do all they say they want to do.

@ TOBY   Amen!

Actually, the so called Black Protest last year prevented a new law that would make ANY kind of abortion illegal.
There is an issue with doctors being allowed to deny any treatment that has anything to do with abortion.

Now even the pharmacists want to have a choice not to sell anti-conception or "the day after" pills. There was a discussion on the radio about it, and listening to the arguments made me want to bang my head on the wall.

The pope John Paul II is told to have a huge influence on the fall of communism in Poland. Sadly, that influence also allowed the clergy to gain power. Walesa was a devoted Catholic (he always wore a button with Virgin Mary on his lapel). With the passage on time, in the periods where the conservatives are in power, the division of Church and the State disappears more and more.

The situation is somehow similar to the US: Two main groups, two complete different POVs, the sides leading ideological war against each other using all possible dirty tricks. Kaczynski, since his twin brother died in the infamous airplane crash, turned paranoid. He spreads the theory that it was a Russian conspiracy to kill the Polish government. He builds one memorial of his brother after another, he buried him in Krakow with the kings of old (as if he achieved anything important), he would declare him a saint if he could. In the meantime Poland was declared under protection of Virgin Mary in an official act of state.

And of course they invited Trump. An official statement: England mocks us about it because they are jealous. Reminds me of someone trying to make the government into his own playground. I bet they will love each other.
