I feel the same way Arcadia while watching Eternal/Eternity/Forever... Whatever this new show is called. He's said deduction/s several times. He has a British accent & can tell people what they've eaten, what they do for a living & where they are going with just one glance. all that's missing is use of a mind palace. But it doesn't have the artistry and acting chops of Sherlock. Still just another cookie cutter detective show.

What would you like to see in series 4?

Ooooo tell me you dip them in tea or milk. Ok I'm totally picking up oreos now. Thanks a lot Bendy. -
Well she was apart of a gang that obviously dealt with antiquities, not just drugs apparently. So I'm sure she learned a lot. I wonder how many murders she witnessed as a result of someone trying to pass off fake antiques to General Shan.

Well I googled assassin training... I'm so kidding, the US is so high on terrorist watch, I fear my front door would get kicked in & S.W.A.T. will come crashing through my windows. So I guess I'll have to consult local gangstas instead.

I think all the characters are a huge improvement on the originals. Maybe has to do, as others have previously mentioned on the forum, Doyle was in it strictly for the cash, the business of writing a story. Mark & Steve are doing it out of pure enjoyment.

Ok I am watching ' Stranger Than Fiction' starring Emma Thompson, Will Farrow & Queen Latifa. I think that Steve & Mark have nicked a few things from this movie. I mean some parts are truly reminiscent of Sherlock's mind palace... What finally made me post this was a reference to the Golem. I'm like this is way to coincidental. Before that the narrator/author in the movie played by Emma Thompson is standing on the edge of a building, holding out her hand similar to the way Sherlock did towards John, then she jumps. Later you see - Well she didn't really jump! The similarities to me are mind boggling. It's probably Mark more than Steve, there's something in the back of their heads referencing this movie as they write Sherlock. So all you who feel confused & wonder why doesn't some of these things translate in real life, perhaps because the writers inspiration is 'Stranger Than Fiction' - Pun intended.

The homeless girl from TGG doesn't have a name, not even according to Ariane DeVere. So most likely she's not coming back. Sarah? Maybe. But she's a little too frivolous to be a Holmes. Perhaps she's the normal one of the three? Firstly I would like to note that the fact that she doesn't have a name, would be the best scenario in which to bring in a 3rd sibling in my opinion. Secondly how do you define frivolous? Because in my mind Sarah is the complete opposite of frivolity. (this would be a perfect example of needing a Mycroft emoticon- I'm posting this secondly post in the voice of Mycroft.)

Emma Thompson would make a good cougar for BC in a Rom-com. I can see this happening. I really can. -

ah, I love that part, it's brilliantly done both as regards camera technique and what they showed - to look so deep into Sherlock's mind was fascinating, with Moriarty buried deep down at its bottom; great images! Of course it wasn't particularly "nice" of Mary to shoot at Sherlock, but - assuming that she really loves John wholeheartedly - I can understand her. Sherlock didn't threaten to kill her, but he was a threat to her life at that moment, because had she accepted his offer to help her, John was bound to find out about her identity and she thought she'd lose him in that case. And if she hadn't accepted his offer, then John was also bound to find out about her. So she did the only thing she could think of in that one second and tried to buy time. Of course, she still risked killing Sherlock which is quite a bit not good (nicely put ), but she didn't mean to kill him. Somebody was bound to shoot Sherlock eventually. Ehh he seems to have adjusted ok. Look how handsome he is. Even while being exiled. -
What would you like to see in series 4?
jesskayding replied to T.o.b.y's topic in Special and Series 4
Soooooo series 4. I've decided that I definitely want to see something devastating & be left completely confused. I know that's happened already for some of you, but that hasn't happened to me yet. Watch the movie 'The Tenant '. I think I want to feel nauseous/dizzy. I want to be left in like a drunken stupor @ the end of season 4. Then they can sober me up by mid season 6. Yeah.. That's my desire. I want them to really stress me out. -
U please.
