I just got the book (first one) yesterday from a used bookstore, and I wanted to start reading anyway, so I thought, hey, they are kids - kids love Harry Potter :D ... Also, I thought naming one of them 'Hagrid' since they are alpaca-babies, and they become VERY hairy someday...the other one I name Chewbacca for that reason, haha...my older alpaca is a girl and called 'Bellana' (like in Star Trek: Voyager, she has the same hairdo somehow and is mouthy as a klingon, only no wrinkles in the forehead... ). They are not 'frozen in shock' (guinea pigs 'freeze' when they are terrified) anymore, they even ate the salad I gave them (when I was not around) but they are still very shy, except for a few minutes when I was busy on the computer I heard little noises from back in their direction. Very cute these baby voices.

'The most relaxing video in the world' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKBjnMsGOgM it's true, one of the most relaxing and beautiful sounds is to listen to guinea pigs while they eat, also it's lovely to watch them. By the way, my new housemates are here, as soon as they have settled down and got used to me, I will show you. They are alpaca guinea pigs, very cute. But they are very young and they were frozen in shock for like 2 hours when I got them, poor things...I started reading to them Harry Potter in a low voice, so they would get used to me a bit and that I mean them no harm.

My family would be soooooooo hurt if I did that, so I show up anyway. But deep down, I feel lucky to have a family like that, so I make the effort. Doesn't stop me from complaining about it, though. Sigh, I'm so shallow. Ohhh, definitely! Movie plans first! Fortunately my family likes the same movies I do, going to a film together is part of the holiday tradition! I have actually written in my post that had 'mysteriously' vanished from the Dr. Strange thread somehow, that me and my mum have also the christmas tradition to go to the cinema on 1st christmas day. We hardly agree on a film we both like, but somehow we always manage - last year it was Mr.Holmes, since she likes Sherlock too. I could convince her for The Hobbit, and I guess this year it will be the new one from the Potterverse. Because I know she would never come with me to see something like Dr.Strange or Star Wars - she hates science fiction films or comic films, anything like that. But she likes a bit of fantasy, mostly spy films though. This will be also the first film from the Potterverse that my stepdad won't see anymore with us as he died in 2012. He was actually the biggest Harry Potter Fan of us, and we went mostly because he wanted to see the films. He also was a trekkie . -
yup, Christian Bale had this bushy beard and hair in the beginning scenes, where he's training with Obi wan Kenobi, uhm, I mean Liam Neeson. I think he was improsoned somewhere far away from home or something, I don't remember exactly, but I remember that Christian Bale looked like that in the early scenes of 'Batman begins'...

Yup, me too. But actually, since my family is not really like you would say a tradional family, I am rather tired of that. It's so dull and you just sit there and listen and if you say something meaningful you're treated like an alien, because no one likes to use their brain for real. Really sucks. So I one day decided to not attend family 'meetings' anymore (usually only birthdays, at christmas everyones at their place anyway, and easter does not get celebrated at all since no one cares and everyone does their own stuff, so around those days I have no stress because I only meet up with my mum for an afternoon and that's cool. The rest gets/sends cards and stuff via mail if they care at all, whcih is fine), and guess what, they don't even care, so I am happily over that. I think traditional family things would be overload for me too. I have my pet family, which is often more than enough. :D Maybe this year on christmas I will do something with my dad as well, because I just met him recently after 20 years again and he's pretty cool now. But still so much time to go, so I don't really make plans yet for Christmas, except cinema plans. Tomorrow I will get 2 new 'family members', since recently I lost 3 guinea pigs to illness and age , I now get two baby bros...really excited about that. -

I am wearing GHOSTBUSTERS socks today, haha...maybe we should make an extra thread for funny merchandise we bought. Like me having the new Sherlock colouring book. (Which is not an original idea as I found out they have some already for Harry Potter, too....but still it's something not 'usual' stuff) Still have to continue to colour the rest of Baker Street. Only Speedy's blind is red yet. -
Oooh, lets hope so! And of course the modern equivalent of a race horse would be a fancy car. Clever! Let's also hope that they will encorporate the famous quote about the dog in the nighttime. ...or they met Thomas Magnum, P.I..... In the UK instead of his usual Hawai'i ;) yeah, field trip. Higgins again not happy about Magnum taking Robin Masters car. (by the way there was once an episode in Magnum, P.I. where they were in England, as some people may know - Higgins is british...he was in the royal army or something, which he often rambles about )

Am I the only one who thinks that Ben with the beard looks bit like 'Batman begins'

I recently posted that Andrew Scott (in the Andrew-News) is in 'Victor Frankenstein' - now I see: so is Mark Gatiss AND Louise Brealey....!!!!!!!!!!!! :o At least it say the cast list I just googled. *fangirl modus on* I really can't wait to see it (starts here in theatres in early May) - it seems to star Harry Potter with half the cast of Sherlock, haha....

Thanks for the 'warning', or it would have happened to me at the cinema, haha...because I am a huge Tim Burton fan, and also it's one of the last films with Alan Rickman...*sigh* I actually have seen the trailer and have not seen him, but I had the same experience watching the trailer for 'Victor Frankenstein' where Andrew is also in. :D -
Weird...I just recently made a post here and it's gone all of a sudden... Well, wherever it went - thanks again for posting the trailer!

I think nobody mentioned yet that we have here special movie days over here - like on tuesdays, you pay less for each ticket. Still the seats are about one € cheaper in the front, but still cheaper on 'regular' days - and that is why I mostly go to a theatre on tuesdays. :D So, for example, I actually planned to go see Captain America on premiere day. But since there is Hamlet already that time, I will possibly go then on tuesday after premiere, so I see it soon after that - but cheaper. (which is still expensive enough I think...also it depends on theatre. Like big cinestar theatres cost more than the small ones. Like where my mum lives is a small village-like theatre, and it costs at least always one Euro less, even if you don't go on tuesdays...sure the theatres are not so supercomfortable like the big cinestar ones, but they're not bad either. ) -
Hello there and welcome! I agree that Twin peaks is one of the greatest shows who have ever been on tv, especially around the time it aired first...I have to admit I haven't yet come around to see Fargo (but want to someday!), I only have seen the film once and remember not much of it.... Hope you'll like it here!

A new film with him goes to the cinema in May here. He'll play along with Daniel Radcliffe in 'Victor Frankenstein'. Recently saw a film poster in the cinema, and as I love (classic) Horror films, I checked the cast and the date when it comes in our theatres and saw his name in it. So another film for May on my cinematic wishlist then!
-
Ha - as if someone here reads the threads who makes the cinematic programm: just read that it will be as an encore here again, too, on June 2nd. Guess this time I will make it, dates already in my calendar.

True. I always buy the cheaper ones and when there's not sold out and still seats available in the back, I look where I can sit up there I also once almost changed the film, and no one would have noticed. My mum and I were seeing 'Les Miserables', and I thought the film sucked (I am so not into musicals, also I thought it was too sad...), so I almost went in the neighbour room watching 'Hansel & Gretel' (the one with Jeremy Renner having diabetes and hunting crazy witches for revenge, haha...), but in the end I stuck with my mum. I only hope that the Hamlet this time will not be sold out (there the prices are the same - no matter where you sit, the tix all cost 18€...no idea why) because I think I took a seat too much on the side and I don't want to be squashed someplace in a row, I like to have a seat close to the exit (I hate it when I have to go to the toilet and then all people on the way have to get my butt in their face while the film is on. ;P Because I think it sucks too, and I try to not do things to people I hate myself ;) ), but when I bought the ticket I could not really recognize where it was even though I could choose. was really weird. But maybe people don't care cos they cost all the same this time and I can sit anywhere, even if it's packed....? I also hate it when the theatre has tons of free seats and maybe accidentally you sit on someone elses assigned seat, and then they make a big deal out of it that you occupied their seat instead of sittting anywhere else then. I love the two-seat sofas really, so when I see there's lots of space I just put myself on one of the sofas and make myself 'at home', haha....we have real comfortable theatres Only they put on too much air condition in summer, I always have to put a jacket on inside... -

Don't worry, it's beyond me to start discussions of anything like that...everyone likes who or what they like. I am sure there's lots of opinions about Mary or anyone in the show, I actually do not really care about who like whom and who not....I just wondered about this for myself, and said that I just like her and why, that's all. And if you don't like her, it's fine - not my problem.

Captain Jack Sparrow ('where is the rum gone?' )

I also hope they keep Mary, because they made a cool intelligent character of her. I don't know why people would hate her - maybe because of John & Sherlock?? Nah...there's still plenty of room for that as well I think :D. I would only hate her if they would have made her just some blonde bimbo character or something.

I mostly arrive too early at the theatres, and I am always pissy about people who come too late. Mostly because I am seating myself anywhere I like and not what the ticket is saying, and actually then people come and complain I am occupying their seat, while the film is on like 10 minutes already!! Or they have to look for their seat in the dark and do it right in my line of sight to the screen, while the film or a trailer i'd like to see is already on... -
They look so cute together!
