  1. Zombie film? Martin Freeman? No need to say more, I'm in!
  2. Maybe that's one reason why it did not have a lot of advertisement in Germany/Europe (?) - I just wonder why they put it in a cinema at all and not right out on DVD, like many other films these days. I mean it's cool they put it out in the cinema but what's the deal when nobody knows, or show it during times most people still have to work and even if they would go see it, not have the chance to watch??? Stupid marketing policy, really... :(
  3. I wrote about the Victor Frankenstein Film in Andrew Scott's thread already - maybe J.P. or anyone else who has seen the film joins the 'where's Mark Gatiss in the film?' - game... I just saw a recent pic of him, where he's blonde? So maybe it was him who I thought, without a wig...I only mostly recognize him when he has (dark) 'Mycroft hair', and the camera is still. But I was almost sure it was his nose. :D (The part where I think he was in the film, was the showdown and there was a lot of action, so it was tough to recognize him as they made not much close ups and lots of fast camera moves.)
  4. I saw Victor Frankenstein today, and I was actually the ONLY (!) visitor....well, so I made the theatre my living room , and watched. Brilliantly played by all the actors, Andrew did absolutely fabulous as christian policeman who mourns his wife and goes nuts about Frankensteins scientific ideas. Loo was only there for a few lines sitting on a table drinking wine and looking disgusted as Frankenstein told her about the new ways for women to have babies. Also, I was watching out for Mark all the time, but could not see him - until the end of the film as sort of assistant to the crazy rich dude, I don't even remember if he said something, maybe shortly, but he had a really really short appearance. And he seemed to have sort of a wig and a bit Watson-like moustache (?), so he looked different. Or I confused him and he was hidden somewhere else? But he was the only one who looked like Mark (and most of his part possibly made a stunt double anyway :D) , and he was definitely listed in the end credits as 'Dettweiler', while Loo was only 'Sexy Society Girl' or something. (??? Could have at least have given her a name, too...) Andrew was the one who had a main part from all our Sherlock cast. I am still a bit shocked nobody apart from me went to see the film on the first day. Possible explanation: No advertisement except only one poster in another cinema, which I coincidentally saw and then googled for the film, because there was no info on the poster. Also - who has the opportunity to make time for an afternoon showing only once a day for a horror film?? If it keeps going like this, the film will be gone after the next week. :( Shame, because it's good. Nothing new, but hey - people still love classic horror, right? And as I said, it's a cool cast and well played.
  5. Nope, it's this one... http://www.krimimagazin.com/ there you can still see the current cover (there's a small photo of the magazine of one of the top ads), as the issue is still on fpr April/May.
  6. I don't know if any of the german users have heard of this, but I just stumbled over an ad in a magazine I got for free in a crime-book shop (yes, we have one that specializes in crime books! ) where 'our' Sherlock&Watson from the TAB Special are on the cover, the mag is called 'Krimi'. :D It's an old issue so they gave them out for free, usually it costs about 5€ or so. http://sherlocon.info/ It's a very cute little Sherlock-Convention (not related to the BBC Sherlock, just Sherlock in general). Recently happened in Saarbrücken. Unfortunately gone by already last month. :( But maybe there's another one next year? ;)
  7. yes it was awesome. I wrote a bit about it in the 'Martin Freeman in Captain America' thread. ;)
  8. I have watched a couple of convention panel videos with Mads, and he so does not look like Hannibal in real (maybe like some said who met Benedict that they don't see Sherlock in him in real life? Guess that is what makes them those brilliant actors, they can convince us to be the character but when they are not in character they are just themselves and totally different), like he has a beard stubble, jeans and jumper and messy hair, and he appears totally cool and lovable. Also funny. If I remember it right, he once said that he wondered how popular the James Bond films actually are, and when he went to a premiere (he once played the baddie in 'Casino Royale') he was like 'wow, really?' or something like that, haha....because he's so not that 'regular Hollywood guy', which makes him even more lovable. He also does not speak the same accent as Hannibal, as he is danish. He tries to authentically speak a lithuanian accent in the show. I can't say how good or bad it is since I have never heard someone from Lithuania speaking english :D . Yes, I agree about Andrew Scott - the interviews I have seen with him so far make him seem not much like Moriarty but just some cool, funny and lovable guy.
  9. Yay, Sherlock and the dog! Supercuuuuuute!
  10. He's awesome playing creepy, yes. But I always notice, when I see interviews with people who play mostly villains - in private they seem like the nicest loveliest people ever!
  11. Or you just drop one of those Halloween Candy eyeballs in their tea...I buy them every year and end up eating them myself because there's hardly kids coming by. They are like gummy bears, and filled with something like jam (?), like it's blood inside. :D
  12. Exactly. I feel about this the same way I feel about Sherlock ... it's fine if he's gay. What I don't like is not coming right out and saying so. Resorting to secret signs and innuendo implies there's something inherently wrong about being gay. If they want to make fun of viewers for thinking Sherlock must be gay, that's one thing. But if they truly are saying he's gay (or bi, or whatever) they should just come out and say so. Anything less implies there's something "wrong" with his sexual orientation, whatever it is. I don't think that it's about wrong or right, probably it's just the writers want people start speculations about it...? Currently there's already lots of clearly lesbian and gay characters in TV-shows, so I hope that people finally are way over the homophobia. I guess leaving the topic open leaves the room for the speculations (and fanfictions :D) and the talk...(like Watson once said, ....'people might talk'...and as Sherlock replies, 'People do little else...' - that's the goal of the whole thing I suppose...don't know, it's just my guess on that. Asexuality is the thing that (common) people don't get in a character I guess...I personally think it's cool. I mean, why can't people just live without constantly chasing love interests? There's lots more in life to live for...
  13. I would guess "yes", because the character's name is Merida. Then it is the one, yes. A red haired girl, right?
  14. I was looking for a video how rabbits do their business, but only found this :D ...sorry, occupied! (the way the cat look is hilarious!) So cute! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lc6n-cDNrnI
  15. I think I have to eventually watch FROZEN - currently even the L-Mag discusses on their gossip page if Elsa is a lesbian, and that she should get a girlfriend in the next film. :D I always thought they have cute characters in there (the little elk or whatever it's supposed to be ...), but never got around to watch it.... Is 'Brave' the film they call in german 'Merida'? I think I have seen that one, it's lovely!
  16. I only do that because I know all the Avengers-Films have post credit scenes....:D
  17. My vet has one of them in his waiting room, an australian bearded dragon. He has a german name, but I always call him 'Smaug'... I've never seen the different coloured ones before, only the 'regular' ones. Love the owl! Reminds me of Harry Potter. :D
  18. Thanks!
  19. Excellent this sounds, yes.... please more Freeman Avenger film thingies. But please get him a haircut first. :P Arcadia, there's loads of Vision in this one, he's awesome (and in every close up sequence I wonder for how long the actor had been suffering make up! It looks so cool, it must have been an awful lot of work and patience - or was it MoCap? I could not really see how it had been made, it just looked like he was actually born like this. )...I liked him already too in the Age of Ultron - this time they explore his character a little more, also Scarlett Witch aka Wanda Maximoff (I am a bit sad her brother is not there anymore, he was funny...) is in there a lot, totally cute in this one. I don't say more cos I don't want write spoilers for those who have not seen it yet. I just still wonder how Spiderman made it in there, or rather why...writers wanted to start a new plot for another Spidey-Film featuring Iron Man or what? I mean, Ant Man, sure, those who have seen the film know why...but I have to admit, I have not seen all Spiderman flms, only the 1-3 with Tobey MacGuire (hope I spelled that right, don't know exactly, but you know who I mean ;P) and Kirsten Dunst....
  20. Mads is in Dr.Strange? I have seen the trailer now even twice in the cinema (before Hamlet :D and before Captain America yesterday....) but didn't see Mads - or just can't remember seeing him...? Hm, maybe I should watch it once again, or maybe he is just not in the trailer...? I only remember Tilda Swinton as some kind of Yoda person.... B) It would be awesome if there would be a Hannibal return! I just wonder how they would catch up and continue then after the fall...I have not really an idea, but I am in for a suprise.
  21. Hawkeye rocks - he is also in the film, appears a bit late and could have a bit more screen time (because I like him too and he should have maybe even his own films...), but he's fun! (and he has way more screen time and lines than Martin...really, if you would only go to see the film because of Martin Freeman, it's tough! Hardly noticed him, if I would not have particularly watched out! Bit sad, but the last lines he and Daniel Brühl exchanged in the film, made me hope - maybe they will reappear in another film then...? Would be nice! :D I mean, my personal thought was in the end - if they will continue the whole story it must be in the next Avengers film...) Thor and Hulk were the only ones who did not appear, were only mentioned. I wish you lots of fun - definitely more an Avengers thing, though Captain America is the main character and the story is mostly around him....
  22. Am I the first one who saw the film? :D It's like three scenes where Martin is in, in the middle of the film, and one time shortly in the end talking to our german 'baddie' Daniel Brühl. Actually, I am impressed by Daniel Brühl, because if I would not know he's a wellknown german actor (I hardly watch german films and even I know who he is so I suppose he's popular here, haha...), I would not have guessed he is german in the first place (at least as long as he's speaking english, he speaks a few german sentences inbetween) because he speaks quite accent-free, also his performance is awesome. Not often a german actor is appearing this cool in american productions in my opinion. They either have silly accents or there's just always something that 'doesn't fit' somehow, if you kow what I mean. But he was brilliant being a Sokovian in the film and had quite a major role. Also the locations are not much in Berlin. Sure you see the Siegessäule and the Berliner Dom, but most of it looked just cut in and the scenes were mostly indoors, so I don't think anyone would have noticed they filmed anything there, also my guess is most was shot in Studio Babelsberg in Potsdam anyway. It often looks like they could have shot it anywhere. But there was a long shot on the airport in Leipzig (like 2 hours away from Berlin) obviously, and I don't know if I understood that right but maybe they tried to make it a Berlin airport in the film? Then they should have removed the gangways saying 'Flughafen Halle-Leipzig' ;P...but still a Berliner would have noticed it's not Tegel or Schoenefeld...I was a bit confused about the location jumps all the time I have to admit. So my chances running accidentally into Martin during shootings would have been like zero, even if I would have been watching out that time. Guess he must go shopping for groceries closeby to make that ever happen. This is not London... Generally, I loved the film because there were almost all Avengers in it, and guest heros such as Ant Man and Spidey in a young version. As for Martin, erm, I don't know...the suit and the hair confused me mostly, haha....don't know, usually I think longer hair on a lot of men looks better, but he is defiitely 'short hair guy', the long grey locks make him rather old looking, plus the suit...nah, John Watson look is WAAAAYY better (and the Hobbit, strangely there the longer hair is cool - maybe it's the colour - I somehow always have Richard Gere in mind when I see such grey locks (and the suit), and I don't like Richard Gere much :P - and now I have a weird picture of Martin Freeman in 'Pretty Woman' in my head - HEEEELP! Oh no, make this go away please...baaad head-cinema here now!! )
  23. Yes, I am sure, one can knit the rabbit hair if it's spun first....and I think as long as it's 'fair trade rabbit fur' it's ok to use it. (Means 'freely given by the animal', such as softly brushed or lost winter fur from the carpet... :P ) Yeah, would look maybe lovely have a felted Bluebell (the rabbit of course, not me  ) from rabbit's hair... I have actually two little plastic bags already where I keep some of my rabbits' hair which I had in the brush. Sometimes they need to be brushed when they lose their hair this much. It's just that I do not force them to be brushed (so they actually have a good 'relationship' with their brush and don't run away when I do it, but I respect it when they want to be left alone), and only do it from time to time, so a lot of the hair ends up in the carpet. About the fair trade hair - I think there are also some ladies who do knitted stuff from their cat's hair, like they collect a lot of the hair from their cats when they lose it, and then make wool. :D Like Carol mentioned already with the cat's combings added to the wool. So why not with the rabbit hair...I just think cats hair is stronger and better to work with maybe? But I heard about horrible practices in China and other countries who torture the poor creatures only for the hair, not to mention still some countries have fur farms who kill the poor animals of any kind who can deliver fur for a coat or something as long as it's in fashion.... SO please don't buy any fur clothing or made with fur...even fake fur is said that sometimes it's mixed with real fur. Most shops who sell it don't even know the origin of it... :(
  24. :D I am going to see the film on tuesday. Really looking forward to it!
