Wouldn't surprise me if it were. That seems to happen a lot in the fandom.

Does this look familiar?

I'd say a great photoshop of Sherlock & John runs high even though there are differences between the 2 pics

Yeah, I'm thinking a slightly different frame from that same scene.

In fact --

Look at "Sherlock's" left hand -- it's Derren Brown's!

That's not at all how I understand this scene when I see it, but I love this interpretation anyway.

I didn't used to interpret that scene that way either, but now I look at it, and that IS what is going on.  She scolds him with a look. and he immediately apologizes.

I'm still not so sure.  Last time I saw it, it looked to me like the two of them share a smirk, and then decide to be polite.

Alas, that is how I see it as well. But I still love the other interpretation, I'd get a huge kick out of seeing Molly "manage" Sherlock!

Oh, she definitely gives him a correcting glare... a bit of the "A bit not good" thing... and he gets back in line.

Odd how we can look at exactly the same thing and yet see almost opposites.  You see a glare and I see a twinkle.

It seems that Ariane DeVere agrees with you:

HOWARD: My girlfriend’s a big fan of yours.
SHERLOCK (chuckling sarcastically): Girlfriend?!
(Howard looks round indignantly and Molly throws Sherlock a look.)
SHERLOCK: Sorry. Do go on.

And even though I still don't, there's always the chance that my next viewing of the episode will change my mind.  I'm forever noticing little things that had never caught my eye before.

Well, frack, now I'm gonna have to go watch it......

I know. I'll soldier through somehow.....

Well, when I very first saw that bit in the episode, I was completely off in how I interpreted it - which was that Sherlock misheard Shilcott's girlfriend comment and that he thought Shilcott was calling Molly his girlfriend which embarrassed both Sherlock and Molly.  Yep, that's how I first interpreted it, but it was completely wrong.

I still maintain that the entire Shilcott apt. scene is bizarrely flirty. And I think Molly totally checks Sherlock there. I just can't see Sherlock apologizing on his own, plus her face.
