This is one of the very few that I like which isn't an actual screenshot. I have no idea who the clever person was that made it, but thanks to him or her - I wish this was a poster. I might go so far as to hang it on my wall!

S&J -- do you happen to know whether the first photo ("a little bit of London") is from an episode, and if so, which?  I've seen it around a good bit, and like it, but never could place it.

I haven't been able to place it either, but something about their clothing looks familiar. I was thinking ASiP, but can't place the scene. Anyway, I just found this: http://www.britishtelevisiondrama.org.uk/?p=611. Don't know if that confirms my suspicions, though... it wouldn't be the first time I've read an article on one episode in which a photo from another was posted.

Oh, thanks, Janie!  I think you may be right.  There's the "crime scene" tape behind them, and John is wearing a jacket that I don't recall seeing since the pilot.

 

Hmm -- but they look awfully serious.  If you mean the very last scene of the pilot, weren't they smiling?  And I don't recall any other crime scenes in the pilot where they walked away together.  *sigh*  I may be "forced" to watch the pilot again....

We just watched the pilot, and those are the outfits that both John and Sherlock are wearing for most of it (excepting the day that they meet).  Their hair also looks about the same as in the pilot.  So, barring replication of costumes and hair styles at a later date (which I don't believe occurred), the picture was taken when they were filming the pilot.

 

However, we did not see that exact shot anywhere in the pilot episode.  So either A] we missed it; B] it's a deleted scene; or C] it's a publicity shot.  Nice picture of both of them, though!
