Now you guys see why Mycroft is so frustated with goldfish?

It doesn't even understand that it has to cross that finish line instead of sitting on it. :p

That is truly adorable -- and fortunately it turned out OK.  But approaching a fawn can be hazardous to your health if Mama Deer happens to be around.  In fact, approaching any deer can be iffy, and they have a powerful kick.

Martina, am I missing something there?  Is that big cat or what?  (Dog?!)

That is a dog if I'm seeing it correctly.

Meanwhile, the cat is probably sleeping in the dog's bed....

The 'perching' husky and 'undercover' husky! :lol5: and baby husky!

I want all of them.

Aiz.. my friends (a couple) who bought and gave up on dog before are buying their own house and plan to have a dog again.

I was trying to get them information and awareness about avoiding puppy mill, and came across reading articles and watching videos about it, bit too much, it gave me nightmare last night. :(

Thankfully, they get curious and want to find out more so that they can find responsible breeder. Apparently they did get the previous dog from a home breeder where they actually see the puppy's parent so it is a relief, eventhough I still dislike that they gave up that dog. One at a time, one at a time.

One of my favorite monkeys; squirrel monkey.

And not fun at all:

Based on depressing curiosity, I went on and found out more about puppy mills, and it really upsetting. I knew what they are, but didn't actually know the extent of it and i guess, I didn't want to see or find out, because it's so horrifying, and it happens in countries that I always thought have much more awareness about animals. I almost can't believe the numbers, the scale, and I had nightmares about it two nights in a row, can't get the images of sad dogs that had given up lives and the contraption for forced mating out of my head. Good grief. :( geez.

Thanks for the warning ... I'd heard of them too, but never realized what it meant. Our attitude towards animals is still evolving, I'm afraid. Heck, we can't even treat each other properly yet......

Worst species ever? :(

I look at doggies with different eyes this couple of days, dreading where they may have come from, and very very grateful for mine. Can't help to think back about my German Shepherd (the only one we bought) that had all the signs of coming from mill, including her health.

Hey, a Pippi Langstrumpf monkey! :)

Yes, it's terrible that people over here still buy and sell puppys like socks or cars or something - they mostly come from eastern european countries. There are several organizations that go against it, but still they have a market, it's a shame! The only thing you can do is never buy one of the puppies and tell the police and animal protection services about it when you see people selling puppies on the street or anywhere.

Say Hi to Rosie...

Hey, I'm not the one who gave an underage cat alcohol.

Hey, that underage cat and me didn't pass out from drinking alcohol, but from mindless chasing and playing and barging our heads through... bottles. :p

Sure. Uh-huh.
