Continuing my other thread, 'Favorite scene poll', I have narrowed the selection down to four scenes, based on people's choices:

1. The pool scene (TGG)

2. The rooftop scene with Sherlock and John (TRF)

3. Sherlock's best man speech takes an affectionate turn (TSo3)

4. Sherlock fights his way back to life for John (HLV)

All of them great scenes, don't you think?

My suggestion, in order to make the final election more interesting, is to score each of these four scenes with numbers 1-4; 4 being given to your favorite scene.

I'll start out:

The rooftop scene: 4

The best man speech: 3

The pool scene: 2

Sherlock fights his way back to life: 1

Okay, I'm supposed to give the highest number to my favorite of these and so on, right? Okay:

The pool 4

The speech 3

The rooftop 2

Fighting his way back 1

I had a really hard time after the first... I'll always love the pool scene best of all this series, but after that? It changes around, I think.

Mmmhm, I understand. Though I had trouble with all four scenes here. My two favorites aren't there :) (The reunion, and the "annoying dick" scene.)

But really, the last three are in a tie for 2nd.....

This is tough, because none of my five favorites made the cut.  But OK, here's my best shot:

4 Sherlock phones John from the roof of Bart's

3 The pool scene

2 Affectionate best-man speech

1 Sherlock fights his way back

So far, based on people's ranking (granted, very few have voted, and it is a very close race), the favorite scenes are:

1st place. The pool scene! Sherlock gets the (first) shock of his life (can anyone guess the second???), faces his ultimate nemesis, and has an emotional meltdown. Apparently a great recipe for success  - Score: 25 points.

2. The rooftop phone call. Yikes! Sherlock says goodbye to John and jumps from a roof to his apparent death. (Remind me why we voted for this one again...) :) - Score: 23 points.

3. Sherlock fights his way back to life for John. Does it get more poetic than this? - Score: 22 points.

4. Sherlock's heartfelt best man speech. Does it get more poetic th... (oh, wait, I already used that line  ) - Score: 20 points.

Oooooh, can I play? Lessee, the second shock of his life .... when he sees Irene for the first time? :D

 Granted, that was an unusual meeting! But nope - wrong woman ;)

Actually, I suppose the second shock of his life might have been in HoB when he thought he'd seen a monster dog...

Oh, come now, naked Irene must've been at least as shocking as a monster dog. And possibly more terrifying, for Sherlock! :whip:

Ok my guess: when he found out Mary was a killer? :) but I agree that he looked a bit shocked when he saw naked Irene :D

That's the one I was thinking of :) And, come on, naked Irene only just made him out of sorts for a moment. Did you not see his face in that pub in HoB? :D

Well, I always thought it was fear. But yeah, it was propably both fear and shock.

Here are mine,

Buckingham Palace scene (for so many reasons)  4

Richard Brook scene (because I even started to believe in Richard Brook) 3

Holmes for Christmas  (I do like a bit of Mycroft) 2

and my favourite

The Irene Adler V The Virgin scene (I really like the deduction and the coolness of Sherlock here)  1

Actually, you're probably right; it was more fear, at least in the pub :) The shock, of course, had already come out on the moor.

Fun Fact: I said this somewhere else before but somewhere on the internet in 2011, there was a thread on what would happen in Series 3. Somebody predicted that Sherlock would be John's best man, deliver a beautiful speech, and actually be somewhat polite during the wedding. And then TSoT.

My favorites in order.

1. Sherlock fights his way back to life for John (HLV)

2. Sherlock's best man speech takes an affectionate turn (TSo3)

3. The pool scene (TGG)

4. The rooftop scene with Sherlock and John (TRF)
