I have to admit I'm not quite sure how laying your bike up against a walll like that saves space.

At least it clears the space for about half a bike. Also, if someone has a garage workshop and multiple bikes, I imagine by storing them that way and elevate them few feet from ground you can make use of generous space below for counter or tools.

For Shadow's picture, my desktop internet is  not working again so I am entitled to multiple guesses.

- Is it some kind of plastic strainer/mesh for steaming that changes shape because of heat? Because I spoiled my one that way and also there is something that looks like plate below. Is it a plate? It could have that shape because it's soft plastic, silicone or rubber too.

- Or is it the inside liner or liner of something wearable? Maybe something like helmet, mask or part of bag or shoes.

- Although unlikely, I'm going to include absurd guess as well, that this is part of a vehicle.

The peforated part, is it purposely made like that or defect? (Ununiformed holes and some improper ones)

- No strainer or mesh that changed shape because of heat. Yes, it is a plate.

- No

- No

- Purposely made that way, and given the nature of the substance it is no wonder that the end result is something like that. Best interpretation is if given a little more time then the whole thing will look more uniform than now.

Paper? Plastic? Styrofoam?

Is it .... alive?

!!!!!

Is it a man-eating slime mold?

:p

Plants sprouting in humus? Paper covering?

Not paper, plastic or styrofoam. So......

Metal? Wood?

Is it leather or a dough?

Trace looooong way back then, they are cow and plants. :P

Purposely made that way, given time it would look more uniform..

It looks like the holes are made from some mold or machine, because it looks very proper with accurate radius and spacing for each round.

Because of imperfection, I'm guessing that this thing is not really hard, because of residue. However, it also look like thin metal based on protruding dents on some holes. And it looks like whatever makes the hole punched them from below because of the direction of the excess, which makes it even more questionable, why is it that way? But based on the arrangement, almost geometrically perfect I suspect this thing has to be flat during hole making progress, then bent afterwards for whatever reason.

Oh, there is one missing hole below, that means nothing except making me itchy want to take something and complete it. XD (Yes I have IOW = Irregular OCD Withdrawal)

Is it edible? Marsh-mellow cake skin or decoration for cake?

A baseball ball? Or ball material?

Does the shape change later, or is it not supposed to look like that?

It could also be kitchen tool or something edible, because I see some burnt, or rust. Perforated normally used for aeration purpose. Part of barbecue grill?

The rust/burnt goes along a line, specific line. It could mean it's water line of fixing line or something else.

Am I talking rubbish most of the time?

Or...let's go crazy....prosthetic turtle shell? If yes, I will love you for that! Come on... :)

- Not leather or dough.

- I'd say that it is inedible (not desperate enough to eat it, thank you).

- Not marshmallow, cake skin or cake decoration.

- Not baseball-related.

- Given more time, shape could change.

- Not part of BBQ grill.

- Not prosthetic turtle shell, although I heard that some people at the animals hospital talking about printing such thing.

Not paper or vinyl lining for food.

Are you having fun yet? :D

This reminds me of fabric used for food making process, like bean curd when we need to strain liquid through a piece of cloth. But you said it's not strainer.

Posted

I have, thank you =^-^=

Exactly, not a strainer.

Not a potato masher. It is not a tool, it is some sort of end product from a loooooong... chain of chemical and mechanical processes.

Interesting.

Let me wash my brain and come back later. I'm in too pissed off mode right now to function properly.

Wait, before I fade away, any chance this has connection to PVC sheet, normally used for drain or acid resistant?

Or some kind of chemical absorbent pad?

Or filter made by copper used for air-con, stove exhaust, dehumidifier.

Or is it FRP or fiber reinforced polymer normally uses for water resistant purposes?

:P

Posted

No

Yes, in a way it absorbs chemicals.

No

No.

Oh..could this be those polypropylene cloth-like that is very liquid absorbent? This is the hardened form aka it's dry, eventually it will go back to its shape if it's wet.

Posted

Not a polypropylene cloth-like. Any liquid it absorbed will change it physical structure permanently.

Hi Shadow Dweller!

kitty has a hair tie, for pony tails.  Not real ponies mind you, just girls hair gathered back into a style known as the "pony tail". :D

speaking of hair. is it a hair catcher for the shower? Put over the drain. But since you say it is not a stopper.  Is it found in the kitchen?
