When I had really short hair I had to straighten it all the time because that would definitely look like I'd been electrocuted.

Ha. 221B, John wakes up in the middle of the night, and half asleep stumbles downstairs to the toilet. He sees the silhouette of a skin head in the kitchen. An intruder! He attacks! Much flailing and hitting and yelling, eventually a light is thrown on... it's Sherlock... sans hair.

I bet you thought of it because of the latest photos of BC with that crew cut. :lol4:

If you're talking to me, nope.  I started to say maybe he shaves his head, but couldn't imagine him doing that, even though I was in a whimsical mood. So I simply went one notch longer.

Since my hair is so stubbornly straight it won't hold a curl for even half an hour, I have no idea what you lot are going on about.

No, they call me a cool aunt. What can I say? I blame their parents.

Sounds just like my hair, actually.  It'll only do what *it* wants to do, right?  So you just have to figure out how to make both of you happy at the same time.

Very much like living with a cat.

^ My hair, too.  I usually try to get my hair cut in layers, to at least give it some dimension.  Stylists are always resistant when I ask for layers though, I'm not sure why.  Must be more work for them?

Which is why I do nothing at all.

Try to find a stylist who will work with you, will answer your questions, and is willing to try your ideas.  You probably won't find them at the mall.  Try some small independent salons, and look for someone with a good bit of experience.  If you know anyone who has hair like yours, ask where they go.

Yeah, I don't go to the mall for a haircut.  The couple of times I tried that, I ended up having to go elsewhere to get it fixed.  Still haven't found a good stylist though, regardless of their experience.  Well, there was one about 300 miles away in Iowa who gave me the best haircut I ever had, but I can't go there every time, lol.  I don't know anyone with hair like mine.

What's your hair like?

My hair is back in it's natural state today, where it's curly as all hell but I had the time to partly scrunch it so it looks fairly decent. I need to get it cut again but I don't have time and I hate people touching my head.

Had an email to say my uni stuff is on it's way. I'm edgy incase they sent it to my home address rather than my work address since it needs to be signed for. Keep shooting up to look out the window every time I hear the gate go.

This ad, when he gets up, that's literally like mine goes. And I mean literally. Though as far as I know it's not caused by a gorilla.

Well, I'll tell you how I found mine.  I had given up and had been wearing it long and braided, cutting myself once a year, just to even it up and remove the split ends.  Alex had found a place he liked, so when I got the urge to have short hair again, I started going to his stylist.  She was OK, but would never believe that I really wanted it as short as I told her (about 3"), so I got a Flowbee and went back to cutting it myself, with Alex's help.  That convinced her that I was serious, so I let her do some layering and shaping, and it looked better.

Meanwhile I'd been discussing Sherlock with the stylist at the next chair, so when "my" stylist retired, not knowing what else to do I started going to her.  And she's great!  She listens to me, and remembers next time what I wanted, and we've been trying things.  And it looks pretty good!

Connected by "Sherlock"!  Cool way to happen upon a good stylist.

Oh FFs, apparently this is 'the new hair trend we'll all be doing.' What a load of shite, who the hell has time? And if they did have time, why would they want to?!

If I put my dog above my ponytail, you think I'm able to top that hairstyle? I can teach him to bite a rose as well, if flower should be a factor.

I'm working so that I could afford insurance, so that when I have headache it would be able to help me pay for my medical cost.

But then I realize I only have headache when I'm working.

Do I understand life wrongly????

P.S. The forum is especially mean to me today. :( Fine, I'm out!

Sounds good to me.  Post a photo, OK?

I think that's a common problem. I work so I have money so that I don't get stressed when something goes wrong, but I get stressed when I work.

Imagine if your boss required you to have that flower hair-do. I'd end up in the psych ward for sure.

You'd just have to do it with a wig and put it on and off like a hat every day.

Since I try to avoid letting you guys kick me on the street, I'd have to crop my head out. And since I don't have time yet to train him to bite any rose for now, you will only see my dog picture, and they are somewhere everywhere here before. So yah, nothing interesting.

I suppose your boss would need to be admitted first.

Anyway, bahahaha. Now that I know curly-haired people problem... :cowdance: :cowdance::cowdance:

I have come to realize it's much easier to have straight hair!

But then, I look like this today....

Ha, I look like that today too. I've had to put half my hair up in a wrap.

It's September, which means that spiders and mice are making their way into the house en masse.  I spent last night chasing two mice into the bathroom so I could trap them.  Today is spider day.  Since I've been home I found one in the sink, one in my candle holder, and one crawled across my keyboard as I was typing another post.  I made myself a cup of mint tea, because I read that spiders don't like mint.  Lo and behold, I come back in from letting the dogs out to find a spider sitting on the cup.  You lied to me, internet.

They'd have to pay me awfully damn well.

One advantage to our miserably hot weather this year, I guess … the spiders still prefer it outside where the other bugs are. Although I found a whopper in the computer room a couple of days ago. . . urk. Terrifying. If all the ones that move in this winter are that size, I'm moving out.

I had another massive one on the wall when I was watching tv in the dark a couple of days ago. It's happened twice now, I'll have to start keeping everywhere brightly lit. I hate them so much!
