  1. But there really was a dog. Henry had a fear of dogs now because of what had happened to his father. So yes, he was being conditioned, driven to the point of suicide. The hound and his fear of dogs was the foundation Frankland was building on. So Sherlock may not have been conditioned to fear Moriarty, but because he already did, then that is what the drug played upon.
  2. Yes he did. Dr. Joseph Bell once told Sir Arthur that he, Arthur, was closer to the real Holmes then Bell was. Even though, it is coming to light, that Bell did work on hush hush cases and was a consultant with many police forces.
  3. May 22, 2015 and time to wish Sir Arthur another birthday. Cheers to you sir, and a hearty thank you. 150 years of fandom and growing. Sorry.......well......not really.
  4. There! That was the phrase I was looking for! Thank you Shadow Dweller!
  5. 99,541 times Sherlock tells Molly not to try and tell jokes.
  6. Would fan mail help as an indicator? They do a lot of conventions.....the cosplayers who do crossover costuming?
  7. I suppose that really does make sense. I mean both shows share the same artistic writers and....there have been a few nods to the Dr. on Sherlock and there have been nods to Sherlock Holmes on Doctor Who for years.
  8. Would something like a gofundme set up work? Or if we worked through one of the organizations already in place in Nepal?
  9. Pout...a lot....then try to manipulate her back.
  10. We do know that Dr. Watson was married at least once.....perhaps....twice more. They were never ever truly fleshed out. No names even.....maybe they are thinking, since in Victorian times, children were paramount to keeping a couple together, they are thinking that he must have had a least one? Another example of Victorianization?

  12. Yup, close but no cigar.

  15. Welcome to the Forum, Matilda!
  16. 1) Favorite board game: Clue, Apples to Apples 2) Bolt holes and do you need them: Usually my bed room but don't spend much time there now. Now that it's warm I can go out onto the porch. Yes, I really do feel the need to be alone at times. 3) Other hobbies: Music, mostly singing but I am getting back into the small Celtic harp, beach combing, being a professional pirate during the summer, reading, Celtic studies, comparative religion studies. and hanging out with my online friends. 4) Pet peeves: Drama, the daily human kind, making mountains out of mole hills, nitpicking, greed and the lack of compassion and empathy. 5) Unpopular opinion: Since I am a student of world religions and the mystics, mostly of the Sufi branch of Islam, I hold that Islam is not the killer cult that the US media is trying so hard to paint it. That the Prophet Muhammad was not a terrorist and was a man of peace. 6) Favorite author(s): Tolkien, Conan Doyle, Rumi and Hafiz.

  18. Oh I don't know. My father had cancer when he was in his sixties and he lost all his hair due to chemo treatments. When he got into his 70s his hair grew back. Fuller, longer and with more then a little wave. He looked fabulous. Very distinguished. I'm sure BC could still carry if off very well.
  19. Oooookkkaaayyy.......yeah, it could still just a replay of the original gif......maybe.
  20. To short and no curl......meh.

  22. Hhhmmmm......not remembering that at all.....will have to take a look at it.
  23. Or, some of the speculations are correct and the "Did you miss me" gif is not Moriarty but someone else pretending to be him. That Kill Switch that was discussed earlier on in some of these threads.
  24. Hi Jem, and welcome to the Sherlock Forum. 1) The Sherlock Holmes fandom is about 150 years old, so yes, this new wave of bringing Sherlock Holmes forward is fairly new although it has been attempted since 1986. But BBC Sherlock is the most successful though the American version is also popular, at least in the US. 2) I have some friends that help feed my Sherlockian obsession, plus a nice little local bookstore that is more then happy to try to order anything I can find. Failing that, there is always Amazon. 3) The USA
