Ah - I had almost forgotten that this one existed:

"She was clever, clever, yes! She's cleverer than you lot, and she's dead!"

A couple of lines from the "pre-arrest" scene (TRF), which I love:

"You can't kill an idea, can you? Not once it's made a home (Sherlock points at Lestrade's head) up there."

"It is a game, Lestrade, and not one I'm willing to play."

"Don’t snivel, Mrs Hudson. It’ll do nothing to impede the flight of a bullet. What a tender world that would be."

I love this. I love how Sherlock says "tender world". I love how Sherlock can be horribly brutal, but not because he likes it. He doesn't beat up people for fun, apparently. In fact, this a variant on "will caring for them help save them". Sherlock's ethics are outcome-based, it seems. His methods might be questionable, but his goals are pretty noble. Save people. Protect his friends. Impede the flight of a bullet. Restore balance to the universe. He does seem to find some grim satisfaction doing that, but I can't imagine him torturing people for entertainment (or watching torture in progress for entertainment, like some members of his family...).

Also, while I find Sherlock's "human" moments of being bratty, clueless, petulant, neurotic etc of which this series abounds very endearing, I really need him to be The Great Sherlock Holmes, my big hero, from time to time, and this scene with Mrs Hudson and the CIA agents is one of those moments where he totally is.

Glad you found us in time for The Special.  When will it be available where you live?

One of my favorites from TAB:

"You must have... impulses."

"Dear Lord, I have never been so impatient to be attacked by a murderous ghost!"
