Well, I guess we'll find out whenever Series 5 happens.  Unless Rosie is a grandmother by then!

This is a weird picture. Do you think they actually posed liked that, all weirdly handsy, or do you think it was a Photoshop jobby? I'm leaning towards Photoshop. I hope BC wouldn't have actually posed with his hand there like that, it's a bit too low to be entirely PC. And is she Photoshopped to sitting on his leg? In which case that's really weird too. The more I look at this the weirder it gets. I'm not sure who the guy in the back is (David Oyelowo maybe?) but he'd have to have no legs to fit in there. And his draped hand is weird too.

Is this a promotional for something? If so, what?

It looks like a magazine for the oscars for me, Eddie Redmayne was up against BC wasn’t he? And I’m not sure if Selma was nominated for something.

It was posed as part of Oscar stuff 3 years (?) ago and I thought David Oyelowo was also part of the lead actor noms. There were some other odder poses by the other actors pictured in the full spread. This shot is better than what Channing Tatum and I think it was Amy Adams had.

Was it genuinely posed do you know? Or did they have them all pose separately and then just add them in the pics together? I'd imagine it would be pretty hard to get four actors to sync up time in their schedules.

It was all together from what I recall.

The photos were by Annie Liebowitz, that's probably why they look a bit odd. (I'm not a huge fan of her work.) There's a blurb about it here, (warning; it's Vanity Fair, so the ads are prolific, grrr) -- if you look at the slide show you'll see that all (?) of the actors were in the room at the same time, so I'm thinking actual group shots.

The full-sized image is here. It looks to me like it might be a composite of three separate shots, but maybe not.

I don't see anything particularly odd about the positioning between Ben and Felicity myself; that's a perfecty respectful placement of the hand -- in that situation.

Arcadia I see that your gargantuan pimple is cured.

Have you guys taken down your Christmas tree?

Family went back, holiday way over since last week

But getting back to my solitude is not bad, it's just that December is my favorite month. Nice weather and mood. I don't think I had wished you guys good year ahead!

2017 was good with three hospital scares but everything is okay, and selfishly I would consider it as good year as long as things I love is intact.

Will take down my tree tonight before I forget with grumble...grmbll.. no new Sherlock season

God, they are all posed weirdly. No I still think the hand is too low. It's right on the crease between torso and thigh. I'd want him to move it upwards a couple of inches if it were me. I had a guy in work put his arm around me and have his hand there once and demanded he move it instantly.

Took my tree down last week, all decorations here are long gone. Aren't they meant to come down by the 6th?

I always take everything down on the 7th. The 6th is the last day of Christmas for me.

That's why I emphasized in that situation ... you were right to snarl at that guy at work. But I'm willing to bet Annie told him to put it there. She's B*g Sh*t, you do what she tells you ... and she does love to sexualize everything. Remember the flap over her photographing Miley Cyrus in the nude when she was only 15 and still a Disney star?

We usually take ours down on New Year's Day. I think it was just a matter of convenience at first (everyone had the day off) and then it became a habit ... certainly no religious significance that I know of. Also the poor tree is so dry by then that the tiniest spark would probably set it off....

Would have taken mine down earlier but eurgh, no energy. Mine is plastic though, so it's back in it's box behind the settee.

My parents' tree is small and light. I managed to pick the whole thing up while decorated and moved it about 10 feet from where it was in the living room out on to the 3-season porch. It means decorating it next year is essentially done.

You might just throw a white sheet over it and pretend it's a resident ghost.

Ready for Halloween! Put a pair of bunny ears on top for Easter... I like your thinking, speaks to the super lazy side of me perfectly. :D

Mmm, definitely should have left the tree up.

Yea. Not dragging the tree back out from behind the sofa. It's spider city back there.

For that reason alone I would have left the tree up. Less spiders to deal with come Christmas time.

I guess that's one advantage to weeks of below freezing weather ... no spiders.

Whenever it's time to put the trimmings up in December I always strategically place a hoover near by so I can suck up anything that runs at me.

I wish I could say the same, but I found a spider in my tub the other day despite the sub-freezing temps outside. Thankfully it was of the kind that I was able to take care of it without freaking out.

Why 6th? Is it because it's Sherlock's birthday (?) :p

It's not very uncommon for schools or institutions to have late Christmas party here. Earlier this week I heard Christmas songs from an event nearby my workplace, very unlikely area though.

Anyway, I actually put it up early and leave it until now because my mom loves it. She is not a Christian, well, none of us really are XD. It's rare occasion that she got to spend Christmas and New Year with us and Dad. It was a 'party' eventhough it's just barbequing from super mini grill, couple of beers and watching fireworks from upstair of the house. She likes the ambience of Christmas tree and so do I. And now, the main reason is lazyness, eventhough it's a tiny tree and basically all I need to do is putting the decorations (they are fabrics) in ziplock and tree in the box), but then I would feel the need to clear the space, rearrange, clear the storing area, rearrange, blah blah..

Do you need to cut two holes for its eyes?

And oh OH! If we throw a scarf could it be resident Sherlock?

Wait a minute.. he didn't wear a scarf there! Consider it done then.
