I want to see the introduction of a new super villain in Season 4. Wouldn't it be crazy if Mother Holmes turned out to be some kind of super villain. Mwaa ha ha ha ha ha.

Considering that the original Professor Moriarty wrote a book titled The Dynamics of an Asteroid and Mummy Holmes wrote a book called The Dynamics of Combustion, it's beginning to look like she could be the real Moriarty -- which I assume would delight you on both counts!

Oh yeah! Nyum nyum nyum nyum nyum. :cookie:

And all the time she wanted to kill her own son! Yes, that would definitely work :D

Hay. I'm just trying to figure out what would be horrifying.

Sally Donovan has been a pawn of Moriarty's the entire time?

But I want Mummy Holmes to find out who shot Sherlock. I want to see her turning absolutely monstrous!  :naughty:

Carol makes a really good comparison here with Moriarty & Mother Holmes. Now consider this, why did Steve have to point out that she wrote this book ( this ordinary person). They're planning on doing something with her character. Maybe it's time to regulate on her ungrateful sons, who are blatant in their disrespect towards her. "She understands very little", so they think.

Mwah ha ha ha ha ha. :D

That would explain her great distaste towards Sherlock, and why she was hellbent on making everyone think Sherlock was a child kidnapper.

Officer, I swear, I don't know any of these people!

So you're saying I'm some kind of miscreant or a drunk?

I suspect that's about the best you can hope for from her, Jess!

Soooooo series 4.

I've decided that I definitely want to see something devastating & be left completely confused. I know that's happened already for some of you, but that hasn't happened to me yet. Watch the movie 'The Tenant '. I think I want to feel nauseous/dizzy. I want to be left in like a drunken stupor @ the end of season 4. Then they can sober me up by mid season 6.

Yeah.. That's my desire. I want them to really stress me out.

You're definitely Moffat's kinda fan!  :naughty:

I've already been quite sufficiently devastated, confused, nauseated, dizzied, stupored, and stressed by "Last Vow," thank you very much!

His Last Vow was the tip of the iceberg for me. I want them to sink the titanic. I want to sob uncontrollably afterwards & sink into a deep depression.

Are you a masochist, Jess? I watch tv for entertainment not for depression though I wouldn't mind more a bit darker episodes like TRF on HLV. But not too dark and I definitely don't want to see any of the main characters die.

I would really love the show to calm down. That would be so nice. I'd love a nice, quiet, suspenseful, intelligent, nuanced episode with an intricate puzzle and some ripping good dialogue and a few subtle feels. But something tells me I'm not going to get it, so thank goodness for my own internal drama queen - I have a hunch she'll have lots to relate to in the next series.

I'm not a masochist. I feel the darkness & unexpectedness of the show is what makes it unique. I want to feel super heightened emotions. Non delightful emotions.

I want anything but nice & quiet. Yes bring on the suspence & intellect. Bring on the death of a main character... It needs to happen, not one we hate/despise or annoy us. But someone dear to us, like Mrs. Hudson, Lestrade, or for some of us Molly (that for me wouldn't be so devastating.) And something else really tragic would be nice.

Hey, maybe we should all be saying that -- so Moftiss will try to annoy us by doing just the opposite!  :naughty:

Molly must not die. Never, ever. If Louise Brealey ever gets tired of the role, they'll have write her out differently. Let her find a dream job in America and move, or something like that. But if they do anything mean to her, I will turn absolutely monstrous. I feel very protective of Molly Hooper!

Kill Mrs. Hudson, then. As she breathes her last she gives ownership of 221 Baker Street to Sherlock and John, and then have them struggle with trying to figure out what to do with the place. Sell it? No, of course not. Give it to someone else? Not that, either. Turn it into a memorial? No -- that reeks of sentiment.

Kill Mrs Hudson? Are you mad? England would fall!

The only characters I could bare to see die would be Mary, because sadly, that is part of her original story arc, so it wouldn't feel so terribly, awfully wrong (though I'm still hoping they can somehow work around that) or Mycroft. I wouldn't shed many tears for Mycroft. No a single one, probably. I would miss his lines, though. He gets such great dialogue.

Well, someone's gonna die! That must be the devastating part, right?

Maybe kill Lestrade, then, but not by murder. Lestrade gets sick, fatally sick, and as he dies Sherlock and the others race to find a cure that is, alas, nonexistent.

I love all those characters, but I can imagine that Una Stubbs might decide to retire eventually, in which case Mrs. Hudson might either move in with her sister or die.  I imagine that Mrs. Turner (next door) would probably buy #221 and become the new landlady.
