Don't you guys think cats are a bit too..hm..slutty sometimes?

Clinging on stranger's back, rubbing its body against stranger's leg...come on!

Unlike dogs, who slobber all over complete strangers and expose their naked tummy to just any old body....

Do bunnies snuggle with people the way cats and dogs do?

Speaking of bunnies ... just got home from seeing Zootopia. Brilliant.

I don't think I want to go near that fence, and there are all Tomcats I think, the uglier ones. Yes, fully sexist here.

It's Monday here. If I look dead, wake me up for supper.

Yes they do, just a bit differently. Instead of vocalizing that they want your attention (for that I have a couple of guinea pigs also - they squeak pretty loud when they want food, but they don't like touching. They also don't cuddle, that's why it's a myth that rabbits and guinea pigs can be partners - they live together in peace, yes, but each needs their own partners, because of different habits and body language. Rabbits like the snuggling with each other and sometimes people, guinea pigs do not, for example), they give you a soft shove with the nose, or they just lay down beside you, so you can touch them.

I am very lucky with them both, because not everybunny's like that. :patpatpat:

When Gandalf was alone here at first (he was actually not meant to stay, it was only a 'makeshift solution' at first after he left the lab, until he can move on to someone elses place  - but since we got along so well, he stayed then...and I don't regret one single day, they are both the best!), and my bed was still on the floor, he snuggled at night by my feet like a dog or cat would do, and when it was time to wake up, he came up and gave me a little shove with his nose. (One day actually I woke up with a whole bunny draped right over my face, haha...). Now my bed is 'upstairs', because Helga (the black and white one) was not so gentle with her treatment of me at first, and unfortunately they lose a lot of hair and tend to eat your bedsheets, so it's better that way. Now they sleep mostly under the bed. Helga is now actually the even more 'cuddly' one. We needed to get used to each other at first, but now we're inseperable.

They are a lot like cats or dogs to me. They live free in my flat, and they have toilets which they use. It's a very easy living with them, you only need to put all stuff away you don't want to have them chew on, or could be dangerous, like cables and stuff.

I always wanted a cat or dog, but now I am glad it's them. They use their toilet, they don't need to go for a walk, and like me, they eat no meat. :cookie: And they are sometimes even bigger than a dog or cat (he is about 5 kilos, she's 6-7 kilos) - so a lot to love :D

I have to look for the one funny picture  when Helga once tried to come up to my bed and hopped through the 'stairs' of my guinea pigs places...she's such a smart rabbit! (The name she didn't get from me by the way, it was given to her by the animal shelter I got her from. I actually wanted to name her 'Galadriel' in addition to Gandalf, but Helga suits her so well that I kept it, haha...it's quite an old fashioned german name - by the way, I have a guinea pig called 'Mrs. Hudson' ... :D )

I heard a trailer on the radio about zootopia, and I am considering to watch it.

Thanks for the information, Bluebell! I've always wondered about rabbits as pets. They look so soft and snuggly, but the few I've met were always living in cages, which bothered me. I'm glad to hear it doesn't have to be that way. The chewing would be a problem in my house, though, there's just so, so many things they could get into. But they sound adorable.

Don't let them see Zootopia, though. They might get ideas. :D (It's really, really funny, though.)
