Sometimes I feel bad with veteran members around here because newer members like me would come and say or excited about something shinny that already being discussed probably a hundred times before.

That is inevitable, so please don't worry about it.  When I joined, the forum had been going for only a couple of months, so I was actually able to read through all the old posts pretty quickly.  Nowadays, that is simply not possible.  Besides, it can be a lot of fun for us veterans to see someone just now discovering an idea that we thought had been talked to death years ago, and being able to share their excitement -- to say nothing of being amazed at the new angles they sometimes come up with.

Your suffering will end soon.

But...it will also begin again soon after that..

When your friend posts on her FB the number of days to Christmas and you add 7 to get the number of days until the Special airs.

So it's on New Year? Thank for the info.

Is it an obsession that I seriously consider where should I be by then, and maybe changing my plan, to increase my chance to catch it on time?

It may be obsession, but at least it's one you share with everyone else here. I've already informed my TV-less brother that I will not be at his house on New Years! :p

I've been rewatching lately and it just reinforces my stupidly large crush on Sherlock.  Not BC, but Sherlock.  Just call me Molly Hooper!

... and you would have to scatter your heart to Mycroft, and Mark, and Andrew (who is still my 'make me smile' person - it's enough to think about him to get a stupid grin onto my face. Like right now), not forgetting Sue and Steven...  and Mrs Hudson...

Oh, that's not soooo bad. Imagine you would fall for both Sherlock and BC. Parallelly.

Speaking from experience, that's not so bad either .... :p

What about Sherlock, Khan and BC? Not good? Too cute? XD

But my biggest crush is still Sherlock too. BC is too kind and approachable (it's valid excuse) and Khan, hey, there is nothing wrong with Khan too :P

True, I tend to be vengeful, homicidal, power-hungry and autocratic too when I'm awakened from a deep sleep. :p

... when you're sick and wear a t-shirt that basically says "dead man". Only nobody gets the joke because you're at home alone and there aren't any other Sherlock fans within a 50 mile radius anyway.

(Seriously though, I am quite ill. But no so badly that the t-shirt isn't funny any more.)

Oh no, I hate being really sick when I'm alone. I hope someone is checking on you, at least. You know, to make sure your t-shirt is still funny... :p

Here's a blanket, stay warm. :blanket:

Almost forgot ... you know you're obsessed when you see a van go by with the letters "JPTHEGREAT" on the side, and you are inclined to follow it to see if "our" JP steps out.

Oh, you mean .... you're not great?  ... :(

It's not working....

You know you're obsessed when you follow one of JP's links (this one) and lose the next 50 minutes scrolling through all the pictures of the Batch on that page. D**n you, Cumberbatch, why do I find you so dang cute!?!??!?

Still this?

*Sigh*... I am not feeling well. I was a good girl yesterday and cleaned house, but today I just lay in bed sneezing, coughing, shivering or sweating and trying to ignore the pain in my joints and my head.

Dang those "flu-like symptoms" -- could be just about anything.  Are you running a fever?  (In which case it could actually be the flu.)  Have you tried getting some fresh air to see if that helps?  (In which case, it really could be a dust/mold allergy.)

According to my GP (and myself), it's a flu -like infection, yes. Seems there first was a virus and now some bacteria have decided to settle in my airways. Sigh...

Or this ...

(Usually this works best if you play the shower scene music from Psycho while shouting "Die, bacteria, die!!!!")

Aren't there antibiotics for the bacterial secondary infection?  (Though of course not for the original flu.)
