Test with Wing. What is yours?

Type 9, the Peacemaker. (I'll take that as a compliment! :D ) https://www.eclecticenergies.com/enneagram/type9.php

This actually describes me pretty well, I think. Especially the "rather diffuse sense of their own identities" bit. I left a lot of the answers right in the middle because how I respond to things changes with the circumstances; I can be very pragmatic when the occasion requires, for example, but am highly idealistic about many things. I don't really see that as an either/or choice! But that's the vagueness other people sometimes see in me, I suspect. Drives some of them crazy. Too bad. :P

It said that was one of the types I might mis-identify myself as, and I can see why ... a lot of that resonates with me too. I think the big plus for me is I have a couple of friends now who are very supportive and really "get" the way I am; they build me up a lot. I was a lot more reserved before they came along. Friends are a wonderful thing, and I'm pretty sure I haven't done enough to deserve them. Awww ... I think I'm feeling an emotion ....

Other:

You are most likely a type 9 (the Peacemaker) with 8 wing

Sexual variant

Type 9 SX
Type 6 SO
Type 2 SP
Type 3 SO
Type 7 SO
Type 8 SO
Type 4 SX
Type 1 SX
Type 5 SO

The crazy thing is, I'm not domineering in the least but the rest of the 8 Wing fairly accurately describes me.

And as much as I'm helpful, I'm not sure how much it actually defines who I am in terms of my worth.  But peacemaker is accurate.

Rrrrrrrright. Peacemaker.

You can fool others, but not me!

Just couple of days ago you organized for me to fight to death (at least that's what I assume :p) and THEN had the audacity to bet against me!

THAT IS UTTER AND COMPLETE.... :)

I am aware we might be scaring newbies away. But nah, consider that natural selection. Normals don't make it here. :p

Oh, I am Challenger btw :)Type 8. Hi Shadow, again.

Type 8 sounds like ahole, that is probably very fitting, especially regarding fear, trust and rage.

@VBS: So you are an 8 with intellectual bent while I am an 8 with idealistic (read, stick stuck on the place where the sun doesn't shine) bent. A good pair of troublemakers as far as I am concerned. Wish I know you when I still at school :evilinside:

Why am I not surprised? :P

Thank god you didn't, I don't think the world would have survived!

But we are two nice peaceful introvert girls! ...until you step on our toes.

That's right, Arcadia, until you prevent us from running our latest schemes to better this world we are only two peace-loving introverted girls. ^^

Well, well, someone is not convinced.

Let's see the clash of mbti.

See that? See that? We only can't stand some extroverts, that's all. :)

Don't know if this belongs here but since our Speedy's thread is occupied for now ;)

Empathy test.I got 25 out of 80 :S

http://www.psychology-tools.com/empathy-quotient

Doesn't give you an in depth result unfortunately but still interesting to see the score.

31. Which I take to mean I'm just empathetic enough to pass as human. ;)

Posted

Does that mean I'm sub-human then? Cheers! ;)

Possibly. Are you? :D

No. Just because I have a unibrow, webbed fingers and three extra toes my mother says it doesn't matter, she says I'm pretty. So there.

Lucky you. Webbed fingers are quite handy for swimming. Unibrow on the other hand creates a bit of drag. So you are even, I think that is the only reason you are not in Olympic then.

I get 24, so less that sub human?

I don't have webbed fingers or unibrow though, just tremendous amount of scales.

Scores of 30 or less indicate a lack of empathy common in people with Autism or Asperger’s Syndrome.

Sounds good.

I got 26 and the possible ASD is quite accurate knowing some of the factors that are used to determine Autism (& related) Spectrum Disorder & that fact that I'm probably on it even though not formally diagnosed like my son johnspec.

Interesting how no one got much over 30. Makes me a bit suspicious.

Of what?

That we are collective heartless j*rks?

Well, I have suspected that for a while, I just very suspicious with that Arcadia. How dare she to score 31 and spoil our overall average. :p

Anyway, I thought I was very empathetic when I answered the questions. Apparently not.

Ugh. I wonder what kind of people who score 80. They must be insane. XD

I got 30, so I guess I'm barely human.

That just proves you belong here with us.

Me too. Admittedly there don't seem to be a lot of touchy-feely people here on the forum, presumably because they're all out somewhere touching and feeling. But who's to say what constitutes "normal"?

I thought I was very empathetic when I answered the questions. Apparently not.

Yeah, me too! I was thinking, wow, I better not post my score on the forum, because it might make the others feel bad. (Isn't that empathetic?) And then they rate me a lousy 24.

Y'know, I think that may be partly because I rarely give a "strong" answer. I'll usually agree somewhat or disagree somewhat, because there are always exceptions. Maybe the graders are people who see everything in black and white. Must be so boring!

:lol5:

I try to imagine and it actually makes me cringe.

I have quite a lot of answers on both extreme ends.

Maybe they fit into empathy definition that I understand, which empathy means understanding other people's misery or feelings and act on that. Something along that line I guess.

Personally for me, I understand but not much on acting or comforting people. I'd try to help logically though, but most people prefer emotional supports than actual helps. So according to that definition, it's probably not empathy if I see someone crying I would not go to comfort them, I'd probably try to help you sort the problem if you can articulate it but your tears just make me feel awkward and uncomfortable.
