Thanks for posting this intersting interview with the lovely Mark.

But re: Sherlock, all I got from it was the usual: no plans.

I must say, however, that some of the responses are hysterically funny. A toast to all those brave people who keep their sense of humor as the world comes to an end! :D

This is from September, but sadly probably even more relevant now:

This is closest to the appropriate thread I could find to put this in.

Dracula: Critics applaud 'energetic and fun' revival of vampire classic

So I guess I'm more excited to see it now.

Ah, it's a BBC program -- so perhaps it'll turn up on PBS over here?  Has anyone heard for sure?

Added:  Or maybe not -- apparently it's slated for Netflix.  Oh, well....

Well …. nuts. I guess that means it'll be available on DVD, eventually? Or not?

I register for Netflix and Co for short time periods (1, 2 months) watch what I want and leave. Then I go to another provider…
PS: you can get the first month of Netflix for free. And then you can try with another email-address. :D

I think my real problem is, I don't want to watch any of it badly enough to go to the trouble. But those are both really good ideas. Didn't even know you could do the first one. I need to get more motivated.

I watched the series much against my better judgement(ha!), but actually quite enjoyed it.

I pefered Mark's documentary.

I bingewatched it all at Saturday and loved it. People will say it's typical Mofftiss and it is. And I love it. They seem to tick all the right synapses in my brain. Later I started to actually think about it and found some plotholes, and then I thought I wouldn't like to watch it for the second time. And I was wrong. :D Okay, some of the prosthetics seem to be a bit cheesy, but I can imagine it was deliberate.

Loved the little funny nods I noticed and there are surely a lot of others that I may find out later. There is a guy from the set design department and he's is tweeting delightful details. He might be a long lost twin of Arwel Wynn Jones, the set designer of Sherlock. They both worked on Dracula. Totally crazy people having much too much fun at work.

Yes I think it is Arwel...

I gave the biggest cheer at the boys being reunited with Paul McGuigan.

Oh, cool!  Wonder if they can get him for Series 5?  It'd sure be nice to see the show get back to its original look and feel.

I keep seeing Tumblr users post anti-Moftiss diatribes, trying to get everyone to boycott the show.  They're still angry about "Sherlock".

That is just plain ridiculous.  Sure, I hope they'll do more Sherlock, and the sooner the better as far as I'm concerned -- but not till they've regained their enthusiasm for it, 'cause halfhearted Sherlock wouldn't be any fun.

How would those people like it if there were an online demand for them (i.e., those Tumblr posters) to stick with a certain job (or a certain club, or a certain fandom) for the rest of their lives?  Liking someone's work doesn't give you the right (or, thank goodness, the ability) to dictate their decisions.

Sheesh -- people!!!

For clarity's sake, the majority of the anger is over the alleged "queerbaiting", rather than the end/pause of the show.

Oh, I see.  And I suppose there's no statute of limitations on that?

Just for the record, the Moftisses do seem to engage in a good bit of what could be construed as baiting of various sorts, but I rather suspect it's mostly just their brand of A} keeping secrets regarding future episodes and B} hoping we won't notice that they couldn't figure out how to fulfill a promise -- like the "big reveal explanation" of Reichenbach that we were expecting to see in Empty Hearse.  I find that one pretty annoying, but not enough to call for a boycott, or even to stop watching the show myself (though if Series 5 continues the WTF trajectory begun in 3 and 4, I may change my mind about that last part).

Oh for god sake.

Some people really need to grow up.

That queer baiting rubbish again...

If you don't want to watch a show, then don't.

But shut the heck up.
