I must commend you on the name of this site. Just Google on the two logical keywords -- and up it comes, right at the top!

Actually, the same algorithm did NOT work the first time I tried. But that was probably in mid-February, and judging by the earliest "joined" dates, this site didn't go live till the end of that month. Congratulations on becoming a real web presence so quickly!

I am kind of new to the forum set up.. if you kind don't mind answering a question...

Does it take a while for the posts to show.. or do they have to be approved at first?

Posted

Hello Muzey! It is just the first six posts that currently have to be approved, this is mainly to weed out the spambots! :)

(It is worth mentioning that posts in the "Comedy & Games" section don't add to post counts)

Sherlock told me about it, heaven only knows how he found it.

Did he perhaps deduce the location of the site? ;)

Used google to deduct more on the second season's cliffhanger. Felt like I really needed some discussion :-)

Well, I was looking for a real forum. Instead of having to go around in endless circles. I hate that. So I figured I'd use Google, it's fairly reliable now. And this forum was the first on the list. And why "Heaven only", John? Have I died and wasn't aware of it? Oh, God. Sixth Sense all over again. But seriously, I am not dead. :sherlock2:

I keep reading stuff on ff.net. Today I thought " You know, there is probably a fan forum out there too!" Googled. And here I am! :D

That's exactly how I found this forum, too. Glad you're here!

Isn't Google just wonderful? What did we ever do before Google I wonder? The answer of course being, not spend so much time on the Internets at 4am...

What did we ever do before Google I wonder?

I used Lycos and Webcrawler and still spent far too much time on the internet at 4am (because that's when I had 'free calls' instead of having to pay for my time).

And before that, there were libraries (instead of Google / Wikipedia), and mimeograph machines (instead of forums), and snail mail (instead of email). We spent just as much time awake at 4 a.m., of course. That has always come with the territory.

Welcome to Sherlock Forum, ChristineT! :welcome: I take it that you found this place via Google? So did I!

I think, as a forum, we should send a nice thank you note to Google. And maybe some flowers? :D
