Someone needs to invent a system to share out weather. We all get hot sunny days, then we all get rain in the night, say from 2am to 7am.

I'm so freaking angry: chester bennington took his own life, normally I don't care about his band but people call him selfish and are angry that he abandoned his children. It's NOT selfish, he didn't abandoned them, it doesn't work that way!

Sounds familiar -- maybe we should all move to Camelot?

As for members from Australia, yes we've had a number of them, though I'm not sure if any others are still active.  If so, maybe they'll speak up!!!  (But slithytove is indeed from the UK.)

It must have been before my time - perhaps they sensed my arrival and did a runner? ;)

I'm pretty sure there's at least one other Australian member who's still active, but apparently they don't list their location under their avatar picture, so I can't say for sure who it is.

*Gasp* A mystery Aussie!

My cat has positioned herself outside my bedroom door and is singing the song of her people.

No, of course not. It's a shame really. Linkin Park was an important part of my teens but I never realized what a sad story was behind that impressive roar of his. So much art is born from suffering... Anyway. I was just listing to "One More Light" the other day. Can't think of anything better to say on the occasion than what's in those lyrics already.

Oh geez, I just now heard about it. Poor guy.

Just discovered my hairdresser got dark dye on the back of my top. She must have known, it's pretty obvious on a light coloured top, but she didn't bother telling me. I've tried to scrub it out but I think it's destined for the bin. :(

Posted

Is the top a light enough color that you could bleach it? Might end up white, but hopefully the same color all over. Better than tossing it.

Or you could ask your hairdresser how to deal with it.

Posted

Not really, it's got a print on the front that would be wrecked. I'm just glad I wasn't wearing one of my favourite t-shirts because then I'd be fuming.

Posted

Don't they put a cape over your clothing before they do anything to your hair? My place does, even for just a trim. Seems like it'd save them dealing with an awful lot of angry clients.

Posted

Yup, had a cloak on and a bag around my shoulders. It must have come slightly open at the back, very bad luck.

Posted

Yup. Well, you could save that top to wear when you're painting the garage or whatever.

Make it into a braided cat toy, make sure it's soft and has no sharp edges, then fling it to that singing cat. :p

It'll be interesting if the curly girl method works - I'd never heard of it before. I'm sick to death of battling mine to keep it from looking like a bird's nest, so please let me know if it does.

I'm off to get mine chopped and bleached today.

Which part of the chopping and bleaching involved the dark dye?  :wtf:

To stop my roots being obvious the second they start growing through she combs dark dye through at the top to blend roots with the blonde.

After much scrubbing I managed to get the dye out of my top. :D

Latest cat irritation is that yesterday when I had just woken up and was shuffling about, I stood in a pool of cat sick with bare feet. I swear my cats are sick way too often, I think it's because two of them are long haired so they all get a lot of hairballs. Whatever the reason, it's gross.

Posted

Is there generally a wad of fur in the vomit? Do you comb or brush them regularly to remove loose fur?

Posted

Eventually. They seem to like to vom a few times before getting to the main event. One of them I brush, the other one has a fit if I try and hides.

Posted

Do they throw up food or just clear liquid and fur? Some of our cats seem to throw up most often after eating certain flavors, but then they throw up the actual food.

Posted

It's usually brown slime. Partly digested food I'm guessing.

Posted

Hmm. Could be they're having trouble digesting their food. If you're feeding them dry food, you might try canned and see if that helps.

Posted

They have sachet (wet) food and dry. I think they're just being s0ds.  :/ If I only had one it probably wouldn't be seem so bad, I think it's just because I have three it feels like I'm constantly cleaning up spewage. One of them ran through the house whilst being sick the other day, I had a big long trail to mop up.

Funny, I don't remember any vomit on the floors when I was little and we had a cat. At least none that she was responsible for... We lived in the country though and she spent a lot of time outside, maybe she just threw up in the bushes.
