Hee you Guys I think this is the right spot to talk about it, but when it's not Please feel free to change that.

The last week I' ve been wondering about the last vow, what's gonna happen, everybody talks about Mary maybe dies or is turning evil, but I've got a feeling they are going to do something to Molly,

End of season 2 she's the one that matters, but that's hardly been touched this season, she's just plain old Molly, she is always there but that's it.

Plus she's the only not original character of the show, they (moffat and gattis) can do anything to

her without it being predicted.

This is just based on a feeling, but what do you guys think?

I think she will become of great importance the next show.

Do you mean Sherlock might experiment with his own feelings?  Kind of like the Conan Doyle original trying out poisons on himself?  That could be interesting....

(I assume you don't mean he might experiment with John's feelings -- seems like he's already done that often enough!)

Yes, he could wonder if he's missing out on anything as he watches John and Mary's relationship or he may have had a bad experience when he was young.

She has been very important to the show and very popular with the writers, actors and the audience. So much surprisingly so that Moffat and Gatiss decided to make her a regular even though.

She fit so well that she has been a fixture for three seasons. Plus, in the very first Episode of Season 3, Sherlock asks her to become his crime solving partner, replacing John, or at least, attempting to. Sherlock does slip and call her John, more then once, but even so he does tell her how much she did matter. She was the only one who really mattered and how Moriarty had slipped up in not realizing that. It was Moriarty's major mistake. This Tom fellow had better be good to her, if not and Sherlock finds out about it, Tom could find himself in a world of hurt. So no, I can't see Mofftiss doing any majorly tragic to Molly at this point.

Yes I completely agree, and that's why I think she's is gonna be in trouble or something. I don't think she's is gonna die, but maybe hurt or do something, like kill somebody.

I feel like they need something more than just the hunt for the last episode, and we already know he would go the extra miles for John, Mrs Hudson and Lestrade.

We never really found out what she did to help Sherlock, we only know that she matters because he said so, and that she helped him in someway.

She is very important, but her role has been very small the last two episodes, a façade relationship, a " let's go sleuthing together joh..molly"  throw the girl a bone.

But maybe I'm completely of, I am not familiar with the writing style of Gattis and Moffat besides this show, I just can't shake the feeling they have a surprise up their sleaves and where they want to go with Molly.

I agree that with Moffat and Gatiss, we never do really know in what direction they are going to sprint off in. But I really do hope that Molly sticks around, for a very long time. But one does have to be prepared for almost everything and anything with these writers at the helm.

I have moved this thread to the Series 3 forum, so people can feel freer to post their thoughts on those episodes without risking spoiling the uninitiated. :)

Oh, I thought we knew that she made the fake death possible because she wasn't a target of Moriarty's, he wasn't even watching her, so she was free to find a corpse they could use as Sherlock's. Besides, she did the paperwork needed to actually bury him and declare him dead officially. Like Irene, Sherlock knew the record keeper and what she liked ;)

As for "throw the girl a bone", I think that day was Sherlock's bizarre idea of a date.

Glad I could help... what is your native language, may I ask? (Btw, it's "understand correctly" :) ).

You are right that we don't really know much about what happened, Mandyilana.

Let's see -- Lestrade tells Anderson that  Molly "laid him out," which I take to mean that she took care of the forensic formalities.  Sherlock apparently tells Anderson that Molly supplied his look-alike corpse.  Also, she obviously kept that huge secret for two years.  That's about all we know, but there could have been more -- or there could have been less if Sherlock's explanation took place in Anderson's imagination.

Molly never has been a major character, so the screentime in these two episodes is probably about par for her.  I think Moftiss agree with you that she's nevertheless important, so they're making a point of keeping her character active.

As much as I hate to think it, if there is a major death in HLV, it could be Mrs. Hudson. In one late story Watson reports that Holmes' landlady is a Mrs. Turner no Mrs. Hudson. But that was in "A Scandal in Bohemia" so it may come to nothing since Sherlock has already tackled that with Mrs. Hudson in the house.

Posted

Yes, they do seem to have covered that already.  Moftiss believe that "Mrs. Turner" was simply another one of Conan Doyle's memory lapses, like calling Watson "James" in one story.

I assume we'll have dear Mrs. Hudson around just as long as Una Stubbs is interested in playing the role.

That's what I'm hoping too, bless Moftiss's heart for believing that and bless Una Stubbs too. Can't imagine Baker Street without Mrs. Hudson in residence....well....difficult to anyway,

Mrs Hudson die? Mrs Hudson leave Baker St? Impossible! The country would fall, I thought we'd settled that...

Sherlock and Molly: better than Darcy and Elisabeth!

I think in real life they have already a relationship. They match so well together!

:sherlock: what do you think about it? has he feelings of love for her or Irene?

I don't think he really knows 'how' to truly love.  I think John has slowly taught him in his own way.

I think Sherlock respects Molly and her talents (and trusts her) but isn't 'attracted' to her or interested in her in that way.

Where Irene, he may not trust her, but he's definitely attracted to her and feels some kind of 'sentiment' toward her.

I'd like to see Irene come back in the future and mess with his head.

Sadly, I can't understand a thing in that clip. Is there a transcript somewhere? I haven't gotten to the end of this thread so maybe someone posted one and I haven't gotten to it:)

Her bedroom is a hidden place for Sherlock! Or was this just her fantasy?

Doesn't she say it's just her fantasy?

Wanted to express my thoughts on Moffat's recent comments regarding Sherlock and Molly...

Steve Moffat: “And he adores Molly, of course he does. He loves her. I don’t think she has the same sort of crush on him anymore. She’s fascinated by him, but she knows that’s not who she actually wants to end up with.”

This is how I am interpreting that: Molly has decided that, while she will always have a soft spot in her heart for Sherlock, she's not interested in winding up with him anymore. She's realized that he's not really the type of man she wants to settle down with. I think the reason she broke up with Tom was not because she wanted Sherlock more, but because she finally saw what everyone else did in TEH... that Tom was a stand-in for Sherlock. When she let go of Sherlock, she realized that she needed to let go of the stand-in, too, and go another way entirely. I think finally realizing she didn't want to be with Sherlock is what made her comfortable enough with him to slap him and be so blunt with him in HLV.  If this turns out to be true, then good for her! Here's hoping that new direction leads her to a certain Silver Fox detective we all know and love.

I heard that in one of the commentaries on the Third Season's DVD's that Mrs. Hudson and Lestrade have a thing for each other?  Hhhmmm  a bit of love triangle?

Oh phew. In that case, Sherlock and Molly are unlikely to be the next wedded couple in this series.

I have the impression that if series 3 was "about" anything, it was how the tables were turned for Sherlock, relationship-wise, after he came back "from the dead". Before, the few people whom he loved orbited around him. Molly had a crush on him and would do anything for a cheap compliment. John lived in his flat, did the shopping and all other "boring" stuff along with Mrs Hudson and rushed across London to find Sherlock wanted his phone or a pen. Then Sherlock was gone for two years and suddenly, his "planets" found how well their lives went on without him, meaning when he comes back, he is suddenly behind things and realizes, (too?) late, just how much the people whose loyalty he used to take for granted mean to him and how lost he would be without them.
