I actually managed to catch some of the comic con on YouTube yesterday while doing something else. They are on top of my video suggestion. He he he....I searched for Sherlock once and rewarded with old but new to me blooper, the trailer and comic con, which I didn't find out from here! (Look around accusingly) yea okay okay, maybe it is around but hidden in spoiler thread or other thread?

Do we have any open discussion about the con?

I think most of the comments about the con are indeed in the "Spoilers!" thread, starting right around here: http://www.sherlockforum.com/forum/topic/3343-spoilers-series-4-setlock/?p=101764

Of course, you run the risk of spoilers, but if you've seen the S4 teaser trailer, then I don't think you're going to see any more than you already know.

You guys had me confused for a moment -- you're talking about Comic Con (recently concluded in San Diego), rather than either of the upcoming Sherlocked cons (which have their own thread).

Correctamundo. I think. I can't keep up the last couple of days!

It wasn't my idea! If I could choose, I would have gone working. Ugh, what a lousy holiday

Awww, I'm sorry. I agree, working is better than a bad holiday. But now you have a shiny new trailer to unwrap and pore over!

Oooh, yes, I'm curious about that book. Tell us what you think once you've read it!

I have it too, since friday - and new reading glasses, yay! (I blame not seeing before correctly when reading long texts, now I have no excuse anymore :D ) Unfortunately no time to read over the weekend...but I started the first lines today while my computer made updates.

Not following this anymore, but wow this is hardworking writer (side eye George RR Martin), I hope it's as good as what the readers expect.

I read that Amazon gets a lot of sh*t for failing to send pre-order books on time, many buyers and subscribers are furious.

Which I think they have the right to be, 1-2-3 days difference means a world for something like this, they probably have to avoid going online since internet is not safe. They are always idiots who feel the needs to broadcast that they have read this, this and that happens etc etc without filter on internet. (Which made me quit reading this back then)

What in Merlin's beard did I just read? This is fan fiction! I can't believe Rowling co-wrote this! Thanks for ruining my childhood Rowling!

Thanks for the heads up -- sounds like I'd better steer clear of it!

I rarely buy stuff via amazon, only if it's REALLY not available anywhere else, so I can't say if they do or not. I bought it on EMP Merch online, and they sent before I expected....:)

So far I think it's alright, I read about 30 pages - and yes, it could be fanfiction, I mean Harry and his friends are older and have kids, so it's more about the kids - and sure people have already made up stories about that I suppose, but it's so far a real good one. ;) I am looking forward to see how the story develops. Also I try to imagine how they become reality on a theatre stage, which is something that challenges the imagination as well, different than a novel.

I am seriously tempted to ask for some too... Since I am too lazy to actually read it myself and have just enough mild curiosity about the Harry Potter world to find it interesting. But I can look up spoilers online just as well. What bothered you the most?

Anyone here have experience with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Elements?  Are they somewhat idiot proof for a novice?  I'm fairly tech savvy and willing to play around to work things out, but am a complete photo/video editing novice.

A thing or two about photoshop, although haven't been using more than very basic function for a while. Can help?

China is developing this massive gigantic gargantuan elevated bus to combat traffic and solution to mass commuting. Thoughts?

Well, I was looking at the Elements versions of the programs... from my understanding they're scaled down, fewer functions, cheaper than the full versions.  But I figure for a novice, that might be a good way to start out.

Oh I see. Too bad I can't help because I don't know what Elements includes to make any comparisons.

Maybe others will know more.
