Interesting and very nicely done -- but do be aware that it's not an official trailer. It's a fan video, made up of snippets from Series 1-3 plus bits from other shows and movies. It represents what a particular fan would like to see in Series 4, rather than anything that we actually will see. Sorry!

The official trailers are posted by the BBC, or by PBS/Masterpiece, or by Sherlock.

The freeze frame I see on my phone (will have to bring up computer to watch) looks like Andrew's Denbighy from SPECTRE.

The way they chose who was going to travel to San Diego for two days because of their ongoing filming commitments was hilarious! Anyway, Mary playing at being Poirot and Molly Sherlock and Lestrade Mrs Hudson was a definite highlight, as was the Abominable Scot's money-saving solution of sending his wife on Easyjet! Pre-ordered the DVD and now shall sit on my hands for the rest of the time lapse, since both my job and my personal life don't allow such extravagant stress-relief measures as taking potshots at the nearest wall!

EasyJet! That was the word I couldn't get! Now I  get the joke, thanks!

Sorry guys, I think I meant to post this one which I saw yesterday:

Thrilling!! Don't take the lack of response as non-excitement, it's just that's been posted over in the "spoilers" thread too and it looks like everyone's hanging out there.

This is actually hysterical. The reaction of the girl asking the first question...

I think Mark just got himself a new nickname.

That's the video I woke up johnspec with on Monday morning.  I had tears at times from laughing so hard.

Hmmmhmm.... In my eyes MG is bigger around the shoulders than the time when Mycroft was pictured clad in a set of training clothes.

And AA looks smaller than I remembered.

I wonder how LB would look if standing close with MG.

Good grief! They gave the comic relief guy (AKA Benedict) the direction of Episode 3 in this series? Do they mean to kill off the fandom through sheer laughter? Unfair!g

P.S. The whole TJLC thing can be laid at Mrs Hudson's door, right at the beginning (therefore Mr Moffat), inquiring if they shall require two bedrooms and volunteering information about Mrs Turner's married ones next door! Perhaps Sherlock and John had arrived at an inopportune moment, right after she had taken her 'herbal soother'!

????? I don't understand what you mean by the first part of that. But I'd be happy to die laughing, myself. What a way to go!  ;)

And yet hundreds (thousands? millions?) of viewers somehow managed to (correctly, as it now appears) interpret that as a joke. So who's employing the misdirection here? Mr. Moffat, who has repeatedly stated it was a joke? Or the people who insist it's "subtext"?

Pretty much the way AA does, I imagine. Tiny.

Nope, that was a different Ben (Benjamin Caron).

AA is 3 cm taller than LB, means standing side by side LB probably at MG's shoulders height.

The 'you, reptile' appellation might be directed at Mycroft if he wasn't behind Sherlock's last-minute reprieve in the guise of the Moriarty gif, and she got hold of the information about sending his baby brother on a one-way mission to Eastern Europe, to die there alone and friendless. Reptiles are cold-blooded, or as modern scientists would say, ectotherms.

I'm still wondering why Mrs. Hudson is so angry at him. I did wonder if it is possible she has been working for Mycroft to some degree and reporting on Sherlock to him- maybe even for Sherlock's sake, during his issues with drugs. But also, I've never seen Mycroft more cold-blooded than when he's observing his little brother's relationships- so I think it could spell danger for John, Mary, the baby, Lestrade or Molly...  The trailer gives the impression something big and emotional is happening, Sherlock is not coping well and Mycroft is rather unconcerned.

Just heard on Nerdist the guy who wrote a whole grammar lesson for Sherlock at the beginning of TGG say "broadcasted" as his one word reference to the upcoming series. I am still reeling from the shock!

I'm merely puzzled by his statement. How do you interpret it?

Sorry to jump in, but I recall talk on the forum as to the how of Moriarty's message being broadcast, and what that might reveal about those behind it. And people- apologies that I can't remember who- speculating that Mycroft was one person with the connections to pull it off. Though also- we should consider Richard Brook's links to television as per his 'cv'.
