No, he fell into the jaws of a waiting wolf below.

It's his little splayed foot that made me laugh.

Good god J.P! I know you said you are not as agile as Sherlock to leap through table, but hang on to the branch, that's what owls DO!

I suspect some bullying has gone on here . . His two companions are both looking at him in the first shot and then when he's obviously struggling and in trouble they find something very fascinating to look at in the opposite direction.

Sheesh.  If you can't trust your siblings, who can you trust?

I know a couple people who'd trust anybody *but* their sibling(s). Can't much attest to the matter either way since I'm an only child.

Oh dear -- where's the third picture? :(  Did the poor little fellow get back on the branch?

I would worry about grown-up bird falling from the tree too much :D, they would be fine just like me, falling down while walking, all the time.

Well, it did happen rather unexpectedly.  I don't recall any fortune cookie, though.

Trouble is, I think those are babies, barely out of the nest.  I was just wondering whether there was originally another photo.

That is just adorable!  I'm on my teeny little phone screen -- anybody know what kind of bird that is?

Cockatiel, maybe? They all seem to have red spots on their cheeks:

I'm gonna guess that wasn't the cat's idea (cause if it was, how did someone just happen to be standing there all set to take a picture?), and what he's actually saying is "Despicable human!  I chase you in there so you can also enjoy nasty melted rocks between your tender toesies!"

The things some people will do for a "cute" picture!  I kinda hope it *was* the cat's idea, in retaliation for last time.  :P

I just assumed there was some photoshopping involved. The cat looks a bit like he’s superimposed to me.

Could be, now that you mention it.  Plus doesn't it kinda look like the paw prints are headed *away* from the cat?

Hm, maybe, too deep to really tell.

Since that one went over so well....

I think the prints are going away. Which means, the cat ran around the outside of the fresh concrete to give us the lovely hissy face.

Since you all liked the one with the cat prints so much, here's another one.
