Naughty boy Ben has apparently drawn a dick in the car dirt...

A fertility symbol?

He hardly needs that!

I personally think any petrol head is a dick...

But there you go...

Boys toys!

This is 3 years old, but Radio Times felt it worthy of tweeting today for some odd reason.

They should stick with the second one, it actually made sense.

Yeah, the first one is a bit all over the place without any cohesion.

Dear friends, nothing about MG has ever made any sense! Has anyone of you been to any of their vintage models get-togethers? Lovely to watch row after row of gleaming British car manufacturing from the twentieth century, but their owners, boys and their toys doesn 't even begin to describe it!

Several times, I have been accused of not liking this version very much, but I just voted for it on Radio Times! Everybody active on this forum had better get their thumbs on that poll button before the closing date, please! Or I might turn into :moriarty: !

Are you talking about their Audience Award for this year's BAFTAs?  Unlike their polls, this appears to be an actual one-person, one-vote situation, because they want your email address (which "will only be used for the purposes of voting verification").

Guess who I voted for?  :D

I was just wondering if it is indeed the same king. What we know about coincidence?...

Would be nice to have a recording of the above mentioned reading.

Oh my word...and sorry, what did  you mean the same king?!

There's only ONE Richard III

But yes to the recording!

Ah, well, I'm not good at numbers, you know? So I wondered about the radio/TV informations, until I could check. :P And my knowledge about English kings is quite limited.

yep, I voted for Sherlock too!

Is there much question who most if not all of us are voting for?  There's a reason why we are on here being hyper obsessed until the next episode, news, setlock, etc comes across our paths so we can over analyze, speculate, and otherwise discuss infinatum anything and everything Sherlock old and new.

I would like to apologise for my last post...

I  was being very Anglo-centric...

I can't even stand royalty!

Yep! (Sorry, couldn't resist that! )

Needless to say I am mobilising my entire family, colleagues and friends who have never even watched Sherlock in their lives! One vote, one e-mail, I will even forward it to all my friends in North and South America, no one will be spared, and, unlike THIS version of Ms Adler, I can be persuasive *cough* like Dear Jim, no riding crop needed, just a "forceful" argument, (ahem)!

P. S. Dear Besleybean, there is only one Richard III in the UK, but there were plenty of Richards on this side of the Channel, so no need for a hair shirt, pretty please! How would you feel about a Stuart, rather than the Hannoverian branch (so sorry about that hiccough, it ended with Vicky's reign, this side sticking to Salic law) ?

Leicester is my home town, so I will be trotting down to the city centre tomorrow although I don't expect to get near enough to get a glimpse of Benedict. The crowds here for King Richard's funeral procession and lying in state have been huge - throw "Sherlock" into the mix, and you can imagine how packed the streets will be around the cathedral. Still, at least I'll have been part of the king's funeral, in a very small way.

I'm not a royalist - in fact, I'd like our country to become a republic - but medieval kings and queens were interesting, particularly Richard who was the last English king to die in battle and got a very bad press from the Tudors ( who were lucky enough to have Shakespeare to write their propaganda!) We're proud that the University of Leicester discovered his bones and that he's being buried here in our city. And having Benedict turn up is the icing on the cake....

Dang it, the man has cut his hair terribly short again.  Just when I had hope of Sherlock curls...

Posted

Why the heck would he have Sherlock curls?

They're possibly not filming til next year.

Added to that, Hamlet and longish curls of any colour would bring back shades of the Olivier interpretation, and then Heaven help us concerning subtext and personality tags for S4. Perhaps that is why my favourite of his films is Amazing Grace, natural auburn in a natural to short-length hairstyle in his scenes without a wig on.

You do know it takes 6-7 months to grow his curls or even longer on top.  And last I heard, Sherlock S4 may start filming when Hamlet is done.

He'll need longer hair for Dr. Strange too unless they radically alter the look of the character. Not Sherlock long, but longer that what he's been wearing. Isn't that supposed to film this year?

All that aside; longer hair is more attractive. :p
