Oh dear! Did anyone get the reference or did they all just think you'd gone crazy? :)

I teach art; the worst thing I ever did to a student was knock over her jar of rinse water, right into her lap. Oh man, was I ever mortified. She was great about it, but I still haven't gotten over the embarrassment. I also note that she hasn't taken any more of my classes (and who can blame her? I'm a menace!  )

Oh, I should wake up before writing anything. I answered the post:

...When you seriously consider purchasing some Sherlock pins/buttons and applying them to your purse in hopes that someday, somewhere, another Sherlockian might recognize them and strike up a conversation....

CORRECTION:  When you give in and actually buy them.  And I did. *Face palm*

without noticing that there is another page of posts. So "making them" was actually meant as making pins and other stuff.

Sorry for the confusion.

Arcadia dear, everybody got the reference! They had a hard time of it to stop themselves giggling, and it is to the young lady's credit and resilience that she joined in the laughter at her expense! I should NEVER have blurted it out. They are my students, I must watch out that they are praised and exhorted to do the best they can, I must push them to go beyond their limits, not denigrate their efforts. But, there you are, such is obsession.

Self-flagellation is strictly for the Middle Ages, joanneta! As long as they were all in on the joke, they are big boys and girls. You say they are Sherlock fans, let it go, they will probably forget it much faster than you will do.

@inge, I'm in the process of decorating my Easter eggs, myself. Hope they turn out well.

You scrutinized makeup used in the series and wondered why no actor in SHERLOCK wore tinted lipbalm, then realized that Mark Gatiss shaded his lips Korean-drama's style.

What about Mark Gatiss?

I have no idea about theatrical make-up, but as I was watching The red-headed League I noticed the magpie motif again:

He vaults over his furniture, in his eagerness as he sees Dr Watson try to back out, thinking he has a client (modern one throws his parents out right after walking over the coffee table when Dr Watson makes his appearance), leather gloves already in use, it is a three-pipe problem, scarf (not the fashionable Parisian knot, but there nevertheless, his derisive laughter (bit not good, show-off etc.) "I would not have missed this case for the world" compared to Tessa ""What a wasted opportunity!", and the Professor already playing the game, "consulting detective, the only one in the world" quip from Dr Watson.

I forgot which episode the scene came from but his lips looks pale with rosy tint in the centre. That kind of shading I often see in Korean-drama, both actor and actress wore it to achieve the 'just bitten/thoroughly kissed' look.

Forget about make-up, my main problem now is that I used BC's portrait as a screen saver and a Lockscreen, and the result is I feel myself blushing every time I go into AoO and read another piece of definitely X-rated stuff in context with John, Irene and Jim! After dear Caya's warning, I have given the whole Alpha/omega thing a very wide berth indeed, since I don't understand it anyway, but there's plenty of other stuff going on, and his direct Count Ignatieff stare (see Flashman series) makes me decidedly uncomfortable, although I admit to his sincere smile making my day each morning, when I turn my mobile on before going to work. He gets a Bonjour and a Bonne nuit together with all my hopes for a long and happy life every blessed day. Oh well, the only other time I felt like this was with a very young Harrison Ford as Han Solo and Indiana Jones!

Was buying some flowers at a hardware store, and they had a shelf with small plastic toys at the cash point. Among others there were plastic bats. Do I have to elaborate the first thought that crossed my mind? ;)

When you laugh at the Mycroft reference in Kingsman (excellent movie by the way).

When you consider watching Kingsman even though you've never heard of it because someone said it has a Mycroft reference.

When you passed a TV and some random jingle sounds like SHERLOCK's opening theme. Granted, only the first few notes are similar but my mind supplied the rest. Mofftiss, need new episodes, fast! T_T

Hey, that's way, way better than spilling the water on her project!

My 23 year old daughter would marry Harrison Ford now!

Harrison Ford is utterly gorgeous now! Which reminds me, we just watched an episode of Leverage with guest star Richard Chamberlain, who I swear is even better looking than he was as Dr. Kildare.

Yes, you do. Or at least clarify whether you mean the baseball/cricket type or the flying mammal.

Only 25%?  ;)

Ooops... I meant a plastic flying mammal. Would look better than the corpse of a real flying mammal in a frame with equally dead bugs. That box over the fireplace is as disgusting as thumbs in the fridge. Another one is the death mask in the bedroom. Shudder. Sweet dreams, Sherlock. Wonder what was  Janine's opinion on that.

Is it entirely wrong of me to hope with all my heart and soul that their baby (or babies, didn't like the Gatiss teddy bear Twitter one little bit!) to be auburn-haired and blue-eyed, healthy and strong and whole in body and mind?

Well I have wondered if that twin teddy bear thing from Twitter might have nothing to do with Sherlock at all but perhaps a clue that Ben's wife is expecting twins... Because those folks are just sneaky that way.
