Maybe we should find out how Bluebell feels about that first, eh?  :p

Isn't rabbit fur knit-able?

Definitely! I have a friend who includes angora rabbit hair in some of her hand-spun yarns. It's apparently not strong enough to make a good yarn by itself, but it's very nice in a blend. (She sometimes uses cat-fur combings in the same way.)

I don't believe that it entails any actual denuding of said rabbit.

I wasn't thinking about the rabbit ... ;)

Yes, I am sure, one can knit the rabbit hair if it's spun first....and I think as long as it's 'fair trade rabbit fur' it's ok to use it. (Means 'freely given by the animal', such as softly brushed or lost winter fur from the carpet... :P )

Yeah, would look maybe lovely have a felted Bluebell (the rabbit of course, not me  ) from rabbit's hair...

I have actually two little plastic bags already where I keep some of my rabbits' hair which I had in the brush. Sometimes they need to be brushed when they lose their hair this much. It's just that I do not force them to be brushed (so they actually have a good 'relationship' with their brush and don't run away when I do it, but I respect it when they want to be left alone), and only do it from time to time, so a lot of the hair ends up in the carpet.

About the fair trade hair - I think there are also some ladies who do knitted stuff from their cat's hair, like they collect a lot of the hair from their cats when they lose it, and then make wool. :D Like Carol mentioned already with the cat's combings added to the wool. So why not with the rabbit hair...I just think cats hair is stronger and better to work with maybe?

But I heard about horrible practices in China and other countries who torture the poor creatures only for the hair, not to mention still some countries have fur farms who kill the poor animals of any kind who can deliver fur for a coat or something as long as it's in fashion....

SO please don't buy any fur clothing or made with fur...even fake fur is said that sometimes it's mixed with real fur. Most shops who sell it don't even know the origin of it... :(

Okay, a geek alarm.

Someone at Twitter just identified the bench Sherlock and John sat on, observing the Guard barracks, and she used photos of the wood structure of said bench to confirm its identity. And those photos allowed me to identify it as the same bench I sat on during my London trip.

I had a feeling back then, but now it's quite sure I had the right felling.

Why does it make me happy?

... obsession you said? thhuh.gif

Link, please?

Thanks, J.P. -- maybe it's because I'm on my cellphone, but I don't seem to be accessing the explanatory part of that conversation. Could you perhaps either paraphrase it or post a link directly to the crucial tweet?

The reason I ask is that I'm reasonably certain I saw The Bench in a Sherlock props truck the day before the St. James shoot ... and it doesn't sound like that's where you encountered it!

Thanks, I can see the photos in your post. Where was The Bench when you saw it?

But for filming it was moved a bit left and backwards onto the lawn (probably to avoid interferences with the traffic), and it stood here: https://goo.gl/maps/Bu8u6ZTF3MC2(compare the trees in the backround beside Sherlock and John)

Now that is just weird. Just the day before that shoot, we were on North Gower Street (where they were preparing for filming the following afternoon, after the St. James Park shoot), and there was an extremely similar bench in one of the prop trucks. Wonder what that was all about? Was it The Bench (as I've been thinking) ... and maybe they'd spruced it up a bit ... or was it some random bench (and if so, why?)?

I'll try to remember to post a link to Alex's photo (on another thread) this evening while I'm at home with a real computer. (Still haven't got the hang of copy-and-paste on my cellphone).

When you start to think that Twitter is playing a silly association game with you by manipulating your timeline and serving you... well, Sherlock associations.

:D :D :D

Let me try to put it mildly, nicely and politely: J.P, you are nuts.

But I like that. Insanity loves company. :p

I actually like when my brain(?) does it to me. I had a phase of insanity when I was having regular dialogues with the reality. It made people around me uncomfortable, (but at least I knew it wasn't hallucinating), sometimes it made me uncomfortable, especially when I tried to estimate the possibilites and they were very close to zero. Sometimes even below it. :P

No, no, no, NO! Nope. I don't think it's mathematically possible to have possibilities below zero. XD

I get what you mean with seeing Sherlock everywhere, like a phrase Punch me in the face spoken by Tyrion last week sent me into laughter out of nowhere.

And oh, just yesterday I was wearing an $5 black long flapping raincoat and happened to stand at high place against the wind, and thought, hey, this must be how being Sherlock feels like, then laughed at my own insanity and embarrassment. Geez.

Well, how big is a possibility that the radio running in the background answers a question that you just asked your RL discussion partner?

Or that you put away your headphones just to hear the TV in another room giving you piece of information essential for further research?

Or that you and your friend both oversleep one day, which prevents a planned trip, but you find something super important in the place you went instead?

This can make you feel like you are chosen by gods. Or locked in your Mind Palace for ever.

When you're working on a breakdown of TAB and you can't stop thinking of new angles to write about... 8,000 words later and I have no idea where this will end.

... my ringtone is the Sherlock "the game is on" music.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one! Just got a smartphone, and that's the first thing I set up.

Me too!! Ahahah that's quite interesting! Anyone else? :D

I have the Opening Title Credits courtesy of Sherlockology as my ringtone.

The danger and (advantage) of having Sherlock's ringtone is, sometimes I purposely let it rings. Well, I like the music, that's the main reason and tiny bit of I don't feel like talking. :p

I was fiddling around youtube and curious with this video, something along the line of 'Game of Thrones death reaction compilation season 1-4'. I was in sadistic mood and the guy's face is really really funny, but after a short while I feel bad because his reactions are very genuine and not those annoying drama-screaming type. (Of course all spoilers)

But the first reason why I clicked on it, just because it's posted by Redbeard.

So does Alex. (Though I believe he's just using the theme from the soundtrack CD.)

You're writing a fanfic that overlaps time-wise with the series and you have Ariane DeVere's transcripts up as well as Netflix for the corresponding episode so you can figure what part of the dialogue needs to be kept as written and what can be paraphrased or left out.  All the while you are half-watching something completely unrelated.

Someone asked me why I don't have difficulties passing my projects to my boss, I was about to say,"because I know what he likes," but freeze in terror of my own statement.
