You know your "Sherlock" obsession is bad when...

When you have to restrain yourself from posting the last piece in a fanfic series because you don't want it to end too quickly and you had just posted the piece that comes right before it.

When it is one of your goals to dance to every single song that played during a Sherlock episode... December 1963 is great for Quickstep, actually. Oh, BTW, does anybody know where I can get the exact version of Sinnerman that they used during The Reichenbach Fall?

Can you buy it from Amazon or iTunes? The artist is Nina Simone...

Yeah, I got her singing it from Amazon, but it doesn't sound the same. :-(

Check out the 10 minute one on "Music From The Thomas Crown Affair"

I saw that one referenced in video clips on YouTube and (to me) sounds like the Sherlock version...

There's so many versions, it's hard to know, but here's a 3 minute version:

A 5-minute version:

And a ten-minute version (with lyrics):

The 10-minute version is available on iTunes, but it says "album only."

Whoops, just found the 10-minute version on Amazon, too, you can buy it as a single song there.

When you are drinking your espresso freddo on a nice sunny Kaffeterasse and a nice gentleman comes up to ask your opinion about the current Euro crisis, he introduces himself and asks permission to record your response, and after you have unloaded most of your personal baggage about the thing, you ask him which service he works for, he replies BBC 4, you start gushing about how much you loved Cabin Pressure and the Young Rumpole episodes, and your friend splutters in her coffee, because, OF COURSE she knows you are a Benedict follower!

If the poor ignorant had said BBC only, he would have found himself at the receiving end of a diatribe about why his service does not do anything to expedite matters concerning S4, OBVIOUSLY! :sherlock2: :moriarty::dragon: and where's that flame-thrower again?

P.S. When my friend was interviewed in her turn, they said that voting for the austerity measures was 'the least worst' and I could strangle them both, as it is completely ungrammatical: she hails from Schleswig-Holstein, which is her excuse, he is a Britisher, for Heaven's sakes! It should have been the 'lesser of two evils' !

I couldn't concentrate in meeting today because the person who was talking has similar hand with Sherlock's.

Luckily I must came across as very serious as I kept looking at the hand as if concentrating on the project it was pointing.

I had a few from my holiday.

But I don't think I can remember them all.

The one I do remember is my husband writing a phone number on a napkin!

When you expect your cell phone text WRONG! every time someone call Robert Downey Jr "Sherlock". (Yes, was watching the other movie on TV. There was nothing interesting about that leading character. But his morning robe reminded me of the third chair in our 221B living room, that one with bad eczema.)

...when you add a dragon charm to your charm bracelet just because of the two dragon comments made by Mycroft in HLV...

I damaged my hotel keycard because I put it together with my phone.

First thing on my mind was Sherlock yapping about how I didn't treat his words as gospel.

Here be dragons.

Totally valid.

What about sword, microscope,..

Whoa..

I know it's a stretch, and you might look like hannibal's fan instead of Sherlock..what about skull, eyeball, thumbs, brain and feet..?

No.... I've been looking at skull charms but haven't found one I like yet.  The other things i think I'll pass on.

But I do have angel wings, goldfish, diamond ring in a jeweler's box, Redbeard... and so much more.  I'll put up a list, if you'd like.

re: Persian slippers - have only found them in sterling silver, and I can't afford all sterling charms

teapot

re: suitcases - have found them only in sterling silver.  Only one pink one has been found and it's not the right style but I might still get it.

re: London eye - is there a charm?

sports shoes

re: ashtray - only in sterling silver

Big Ben

re: London cab - only in sterling silver

re: astronomy - am still looking for the right piece.  I've seen a piece but it's just too big for a bracelet.

re: suzhou numeral system - haven't thought about it.

re; painting - haven't thought about it.

re: Cluedo - hmmm - I'd have to get a nice image and just put it in a small frame.

Right now I have 41 charms on the bracelet, of which 4 are sterling - a microscope, riding crop, and a bowler hat (John), a comfy-looking arm chair similar to John's  I am still awaiting the delivery charms of a jumbo jet and helicopter.

Would love to get the following sterling silver charms:

ashtray

London cab

Top hat

socks

Christmas cracker

Persian slipper

3-set of deerstalker/pipe/magnifying glass

This is what I have (in order on the bracelet:

John's chair, trench coat, scarf, present (Molly), cherries (Molly's sweater), bee, Chinese happy cat (TBB),  crown, hound, framed pic of smiley, "best man" heart, jeweler's box with diamond ring, violin, Queen's guard, magnifying glass, framed pic of Sherlock, dragon, teacup/saucer, caduceus, British flag, baby shoe, bowler hat, laptop, angel wings, framed pic of John, gun, handcuffs, riding crop, bullet, sword, Big Ben, cow/bison skull, chair for Sherlock, framed pic of 221B door, apple, Redbeard, cell phone, microscope, umbrella, goldfish, lock and key toggle

yes, it's quite heavy and I'm still adding more.  All of the episodes are represented in one way or another.

Wow that is dedication. I Know you have some but didn't know it's such a collection. (Anyway I think it's good collection since it's simple and quite practical).

I don't know where to buy them, I'm clueless about jewelries and accessories, but some more ideas you might find fitting:

Sofa

Boomerang

Motorbike

Helmet

Train/subway

Fireplace

Newspaper

Safe

Food items in Sherlock

Map

Sweatshirt/hoodies

Potato :)

Spray can

Police car

Chess piece

Pipet

Coin with holes

Clown (this one will creep me out)

Takeaway coffee cup

Dressing gown

Sherlock's silhouette

Sherlock's palm (the way he pushes door, love that)

For astronomy, Andromeda Galaxy and Saturn might be the easier ones to source.

P.S. I think Angel's Wing is very nice idea!

Potato?

Potatoes that Mrs.Holmes put on Mycroft's laptop. XD

I got more:

Deer antler

Envelope

Fire extinguisher

Bowtie

Diamond

Steering wheel (Sherlock drives!)

Obsession: excited to suggest Sherlock's charm ideas.

I'm on fire!

Gah!  I wouldn't be able to lift my arm off the floor with all those charms!  But keep the ideas coming!  I look up every one to see if one exists!  Believe me, I was tickled just to get a microscope!

Sometimes the problem isn't finding it... it's finding it in a small enough quantity.  I mean, I don't want 50 of them at once.  But I buy bulk.  Prefer to buy 10-20.
