Hey, this one's canon!  (Besides, it's way cuter than the "Empty Hearse" one.)

... I've been assuming that Mr. Freeman was simply being more comfortable between scenes.  (During the filming of John's first approach to Baker Street for "Empty Hearse," I noticed him fussing with the mustache between takes, as though it itched something awful and/or kept threatening to fall off.)

He has sort of verified that, in this article:

Freeman can next be seen in the upcoming "Christmas Special" for Sherlock. He claims the biggest pain of shooting in the Victorian era was wearing a huge fake moustache. “It’s good fun, until you want to eat,” he said. “And then it's annoying.”

Elementary didn't get as much attention as SHERLOCK because 'sensitive' approach to the story of the super sleuth or not, it appear as ordinary action series that happen to share character names with its predecessors, lol. In other words, it did not fulfill the fans' expectations, in the bad ways.

The snippets of House are precious. I've watched some episodes but don't remember him being so funny.

The chain-reaction-arrangement he made in his(?) office - I can sooooo imagine our Sherlock building something like that in a desperate boring moment. :D

Looks like the Festival program includes an interview with Martin Freeman and a Doctor Who Q&A with Steven Moffat.  :D

And the Radio Times Festival's schedule also lists Mr. Moffat (at 2:30 Friday afternoon), and The Women of Sherlock (Stubbs, Brealey, Abbington, and Vertue, plus, oddly enough, Moffat again) at 5 pm on Sunday.

Well, time is getting short for the Special, so promoting it through reputable festivals and venues is a must. Not that anything of value to the fandom will be revealed, especially by that consummate tease, Mr Moffat, but they do need to get a move on for the planning of S4, or Sherterrorists might actually ambush them in the Q&A section :D

I take it that's Mycroft's house?  Couldn't really tell from any of the interior shots, though.

No, that's the house they used for interiors on ASIB - Irene's house.

Pre-S3, but still a good interview with Moffat.

He says that Benedict commissioned it (based on some interview Benedict gave and either misspoke or was misquoted as stating there would be a 4th series.)

Mycroft's house was also shown in a couple of scenes in the episode, and the exterior photo in the article looks plausibly like I would imagine the exterior of that house.  But I frankly don't see much resemblance between the interior photos and either house from ASiB.  I'd have to either rewatch or study the screencaps to really know what I'm talking about, though.

It doesn't help that the interior was repainted and mostly redecorated.  But the stairs are definitely it.

OK, I'll believe you!  I know there's a clear shot of the stairs when the (CIA?) guys walk down them.  I'll have to pay attention next time.

Just in case anyone was getting their hopes up: http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2015-08-27/filming-sherlock-all-year-round-oh-christ-really-says-martin-freeman

Martin Freeman has said that he doesn't want to film longer runs of Sherlock, despite the wish of the show's millions of fans that more episodes were made per series.

The actor, who plays John Watson opposite the Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock Holmes in the drama, said that even if the BBC decided to make a longer-running series of the smash hit show, he would begin to get bored.

...

“I didn’t go into this world as a replacement for a proper job. I like the unknown. I like not knowing what I am doing next. I think this is an adventure. I am like, I am not working for six weeks let’s try and get something on. If it were nine months of [filming] Sherlock, the first month would be great and the next eight would be 'Oh, Christ…really?'”
